"I was talking to Deion (Colzie) and Donte (Thornton)," said Buchner. "A lot of schools they are coming down to are Notre Dame, some SEC schools and I know Donte is big with Oregon and Arizona State. You can choose to play football at a school or choose to do both - academics and football at a place like Notre Dame.

A little boring at first
But skip ahead to 1:55 and you can see some zip and how he looks on roll outs (against body too)
Dude looks really really good. Looks a lot more smooth and compact.

So, is he back to his old motion? He does seem to have a low release point (I really don’t care as long as it’s effective).
I firmly believe that the QB coaching he's been receiving lately has completely ruined his motion with this "compact" nonsense. Just let him rip it side arm. I watch Mahomes in the NFL throw from all kinds of crazy arm angles and no one is over-coaching him to be "compact".
Buchner's game film and camp stuff pre-Kelly is just so much more fluid and natural. Hopefully there is a way to unring the bell.
Is TB working with Taylor Kelly? Didn't T. Kelly also "work" with Brandon Wimbush after 2017 and leading into 2018? And wasn't that because of TK's connection at ASU with Chip Long? Maybe I'm making these connections up, but someone else may remember more clearly than me.

Pretty sure it was George Witfield.
FYI
Buchner interview with Eric Hansen and Tyler James on the latest ND Insider "Pod of Gold" podcast on Tuesday. About 20 mins in length. All I can say is, holy smokes is he well spoken and intelligent. I was already on the hype train, but wow.
He say if has decided to play this spring or enroll early at ND?
From the podcast, he is still planning on graduating early (and ND is planning for that as well), but he mentioned not knowing what would happen with the NCAA/California, so he didn't commit one way or another. But right now he is planning to graduate and enroll early.

Tyler James admitted he was the “least articulate Tyler” on that podcast.
Thank goodness he plans on enrolling early. I think that’s what put Jurkovec behind the eight ball.
I'm sure it did not help but it sure sounds like he and Rees did not hit it off.
The fact that Buchner was recruited by, and committed to, Rees suggests that won't be an issue here.
