agree the first TD was fairly terrible just launching the ball as high as possible

Yeah, launching the ball 55 yds while rolling left and side stepping a pass rusher and then hitting his receiver for 6 was "fairly terrible" or was it "fairly meh".

Flutie won a Heisman doing that same "meh" thing from about the same spot on the field but then he wasn't a high school kid rehabbing an acl. He was a healthy 22 year old man.

If you think that first TD will get it done at ND then continue blowing that whistle.

He's a junior coming back from an ACL, I'm giving him room to grow and not saying he's bad. The entire coaching staff believes he's the 2nd coming and I don't think I know more.

I was just expecting some pinpoint throws and most seemed late/underthrown. After a year out, he's no doubt still acclimating to "live" action.

I've seen his practice videos and he no doubt has a cannon and can hit players in stride, just didn't see it in that clip. But you were apparently 'wowed' by it, so we just disagree.

I think that twitter clip was like 5 plays in one game early on in a long season. It'd be nice if he had been more efficient in those 5 plays (lol), but the way the secondary was playing on that first pass, he could have put up a granny shot and got the job done.

The Louisville game needs to get here.

I hear ya brother. Of course I still believe he will be great for us, and like you said, the coaches do too. However, those highlights were not Wimbush or Golson impressive like you’d want to see. Bottom line, kids got time and his fundamentals are supposed to be AMAZING. We ok!

Do we know level of competition? Honestly for us to win an NC we need a heisman candidate at QB, we need someone to pan out, whether Buchner or Phil but we can’t have average QBs anymore. It’s been 10 years since we had a QB that could put the ball anywhere he wanted and had great numbers.

Mater Dei isn't without talent. Aiden Calvert has Service Academy offers and #21 is Chris Snyder who'll be a 4.5*+ All-American in a couple of years.

I didn't realize how athletic he was. I still think he needs to develop his anticipation when throwing but wow, he had some nice looking jukes in there.

He's a true junior right now, coming off an ACL. There is a lot to like about Buchner.

Kid is just a freshmen...Known his father and step-mother since high school. He'll definitely be a kid to keep an eye on in the coming years.

The other 9 must need a lot of work. When someone is accountable for 9 TD's that says volumes about the D.
