A draft is not just about who you draft but where. You leave value on the table by drafting those guys in those spots.

Robinson and Gibbs going so early was good for the Bengals. They would have been tempted to take either had they been available.

Now... will Mayer fall to 28??? Or are they gonna have to take the best DB available?

Also kind of hoping Joey Porter Jr. makes it to Cincy's pick... for the lulz

It’s dead in here.

Love Wright for the Bears at 10 and got a 4th rounder next year out of it.

Lions with a WTF moment with Gibbs.
Might be an unpopular opinion but a little disappointed the Bears only got a 4th out of it. You knew who the Eagles wanted and Carter could have also filled a need. Maybe Poles just viewed it as a free pick and moved on.

I was really hoping Mayer would wind up a Bill. Can’t stand the cowboys

(The Bengals really should draft Joey Porter, Jr., Nolan Smith, or Myles Murphy, though. Smarter picks. Better value. If you want to stay in the AFC Championship/Super Bowl hunt, loading up on pass rushers and CB's to compete with KC's offense is a must.)

I was a little late getting the draft on so missed the first few picks. What the fuck did the Texans give up for Anderson? No way he out plays that.

Somebody will take him before the end of the 2nd, but I think there will be a lot of teams looking back at missing out on not only a really good player but probably one of the best locker room guys in the draft.

Mayer to the Colts at the 4th pick of the 2nd would be HUGE. TE is a need…

If you look at commonalities between Peyton and Luck, they both had all-pro TEs to begin their careers. Not to mention how Steichen utilized TEs in Philly.

I’m assuming Mayer is seen by teams as a steady Heath Miller type TE more than an explosive Travis Kelce type TE.

Explosive TE’s can break games in the NFL, so I really have no other explanation for MM not being a mid to late first rounder, especially seeing who was taken already.

Overall devaluation of the position is the only thing I got. Teams would rather wait and sign a sure-thing FA that can provide you a few timely 3rd down/redzone receptions over the course of a season, than risk a high draft pick on a guy that doesn't have elite athletic traits.

Unless it's Kyle Pitts, or a flavor-of-the-month like Kincaid, TE's get no love.

HOWEVER... that's what I thought the NFL thought of RB's these days, too, but then the Falcons and Lions blew that notion up. But also, maybe that's why they've both been not great lately. Idk.
