Sounds like Stroud might actually drop. That is crazy. He bombed a pre draft test that you can study for, he followed that up by ghosting the guys at Manning Camp.

Wasn't his ability to read the field the biggest knock against him?

The cornerbacks in this draft, collectively, have remarkable speed. First three rounds should see a lot of them go off the board.

CB needy teams will be available to find starter quality CBs in the 3rd round. Offensive tackles, not so much.
Right.

RB, OG, TE, DE, OLB and CB is where it's at. QB is probably ok too but it's hard to really reserve judgement on that until five years from now.

I'm hopeful the Cowboys can find one of those in that 3rd or 4th range.

Joey Porter Jr has been linked to Pittsburgh for some time now. That pick would make a lot of sense. He’s in that top tier of corners and has family ties to the organization.

I really think Pittsburgh goes the OT route though. They’re clearly committed to fixing the OL. I think they go with Broderick Jones or Darnell Wright tomorrow.

Lot of smoke that Pittsburgh is trading into the top 10 for a Tackle. They've been linked to the Bears and Falcons for a trade.

I think the Bears trading back again would be the Chef's kiss on off season transactions. Now the easy part, just nail the picks, lol.

I find myself really hoping the Bears pull this off.

Colts are another team in the market for a CB. I look for them to take a CB with their second pick. If Stroud is available at #4 as rumored I hope they grab him. Been some buzz lately that Ballard likes Levis.

Texans are in a good spot at 2. Sounds like they may go with Tyree Wilson or Will Anderson instead of a QB. Long term, I think that is the right decision. Grab Williams or Maye next year.

That's one reason folks think Stroud will be available at #4.

The Bears trading back again and adding day 2 picks would be ideal. Very happy the Bears traded back when they did.

There was talk from the start about trading out twice. I'd absolutely love it if it winds up getting them that much closer to a championship in the long term. Rodgers being out of Green Bay opens things up a bit, and if Jordan Love is the third straight HOF QB1 for Green Bay, I'm mailing in the NFL for the rest of my life. No franchise can possibly be that lucky.

I think the trading back twice scenario was based on the Bears trading back to 4 instead of 9. However, since this is a deep class at OT, trading to the mid to late teens looks feasible which wasn't necessarily discussed before.

The Packers have $40.3M in dead cap from the Rodgers trade so if Jordan Love isn't good then they're are doomed (at least for this year). Which of course would lead to GB cutting Love after the season and getting Williams/Maye in 2024 draft.

Actually it's been reported that Houston was interested in trading with the Bears to 1 and Carolina up to 2 but Houston wasn't ready to pull the trigger yet and Poles didn't want it to drag out.

Initially, yes, but they've been settled at 9 now for a while since the first trade and the chatter about moving back again never stopped behind the scenes. They need so much help everywhere that stockpiling picks has always been on the table even when they ended up trading back to 9th as opposed to 2-4.

I hope the Bears’ rebuild is successful. Fields is an exciting player for the franchise.

But, damn, if they don’t draft well then this will implode. You can trade back to acquire more picks all you want, but if you don’t do anything with those picks then it was pointless.

Been some buzz lately that Ballard likes Levis.

Levis certainly could be the pick but any reports about Ballard’s preference are likely BS. His FO doesn’t leak info to the media and local beat writers have confirmed everyone is extra tight lipped this year. Personally I think it’s more likely to be Richardson or Stroud(if he’s still there).

Hard to believe too much of anything that's coming out this week. Typically the rumors that have been consistent for weeks are what happen.

Steelers definitely want to move up to grab a tackle.

Bears are willing for right package but will go Carter if available and one of the tackles of not and no trade.

I don't think Carter lasts until 9. If they don't go o line or their guy isn't there I'd love to see them trade back..I think breese from Clemson is a sleeper. Reminds me of Ed Oliver

Nobody knows anything. Which is why I'm hoping for chaos.

Saw a mock that had the Eagles trading up to take Carter. That would just be unfair

Pete Carroll drafting Jalen Carter is in the cards.
Supposedly for months people have been saying that Seattle doesn't want Carter because of football character. They are very wary ever since Malik McDowell didn't work out.

I could believe it because they don't have too many needs and there's no chance (according to all rumors) that he makes it past the Bears at 9.

The Eagles and or Chiefs can afford to take that risk. Winning builds equity. A bad team, like the Bears, taking the risk on Carter could really go sideways on them.
