gonna be an ESPN 30 for 30 about all this some day
Golden Corral instead of prepping for Pro Day.

His contract is going to have some "weight" clauses in it.

Nine pounds isnt that much, especially his size. I can gain that on a “cheat day” if I really try. But, not being able to finish drills, combined with his other off the field issues, woof.

Eagles got Slay and Bradberry back. I’ve seen a lot of mocks with them taking a CB, wonder if that changes now

This may be a bigger red flag than the speeding. Couple them together, and yeah, his stock may drop.
Unless you're injured or have a really good excuse, such as "My mom's terminally ill and I've been spending all my time with her," showing up out of shape and overweight at the combine or your pro day is a MAJOR red flag. I can't think of any dudes who did that and went on to have great careers. It screams immaturity, lack of commitment, huge lack of self-discipline, and a general case of the stupids. Not the kind of guy you usually want on your team.

Orlando Brown going to the Bengals....pencil in a Offensive Tackle to the bears at #9 now.

My list:

Paris Johnson Jr.
Peter Skoronski
Dude from Georgia

I still would be sweating not taking JSN if he's there.

Broderick Jones? They could trade back again to the middle of the first and he’ll be there.

Bengals might really draft Bijan at 28 now that they got a LT.

Don’t necessarily agree with it, but adding a RB that is an extension of passing game for Burrow would be a nice compliment to the WR group, especially with the TE class being deep enough to get a starter in round 2 or 3.

Najee Harris taught me that there will never be a RB worth a first round pick. Grab Mayer or the guy from Utah.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens to Higgins. No way in hell they’ll be able to afford Burrow, Chase, and Higgins.

I’d prefer Mayer, then best RB available in RD2 maybe, and even that’s early imo. But Cincy might really have RB1 and RB2 open right now.

Duke Tobin keeps saying that they plan on keeping the whole band together… but it’s one thing to publicly express a desire for consistency, and another once the contract talks are underway.

We won’t know on Higgins until they figure out Burrow either way, though.

He should have been getting draft ready in terms of conditioning right around the confetti got cleaned up from pounding TCU. I fail to understand how these guys allow it to happen. If you're out of f*cks to give, you can bet these NFL GMs are too.

Seriously. At that point, getting in shape and being ready for the combine and pro day is your only job. You spend 3 or 4 years working out and training to be the best player you can be and get a shot at the NFL, then in the final 90 days of that process, you sleep late, slack off, and eat fast food 3 times a day?

These are ultimately assumptions unless the player admits it freely.

The results are what they are in the end regardless. You're bigger than you were two weeks ago and couldn't finish drills. It's not good however it got to that point. On top of your legal shit being out in the public.

The Bengals were creative with OBJ's contract and signing bonus. I would expect them to do similar stuff with Burrow to facilitate Higgins, Chase, and Logan Wilson.

I'm anti-RB in the first round and would prefer they just grab the best player available (outside of WR, QB, or LB). I think TE or anyone along the DL would be the most beneficial.

They need to sign a veteran LG on a prove-it deal to compete with Volson and sign a veteran safety to play with Hill. If they do that, then they are set to really grab the BPA.

With the Raiders signing Jimmy G and the Falcons most likely sticking with Ridder... there will be another Justin Fields situation with one of the 4 QBs dropping. Could see someone like Washington trading up to grab the 4th QB.

Raiders still need a QB because Carr > Jimmy G. But I agree, someone will jump in front of Indy and grab Richardson. Indy will be stuck with the worst of the 4 QB’s.

I'm not sure that Richardson is the third best. At this point you're drafting him strictly on potential and given his results from what few games he's played, he'll be watching from the sidelines to start. If a team can teach Levis to not force throws into tight coverage he could turn out to be as good as the others. He won't have the mobility to extend plays, but Stroud is a pocket passer as well.

Oh baby we have reached 7 round mock draft season and the ESPN.com let a random fan do one as an Insider exclusive article. Try the Disney Plus Hulu ESPN.com bundle today!!!

Congrats random mock maker

Players to note:
# 29 Michael Mayer - New Orleans Saints: This is looking like a bit of a trend for him to fall. What fools.
#53 Isaiah Foskey - Chicago Bears: Not bad
#168 Jarrett Patterson - Arizona Cardinals: I can't say this enough, I hope the 49ers draft him earlier than this and he becomes one of their patented rotate at 3 spots guys immediately
#230 Brandon Joseph - Houston Texans: Alrighty.

And that is that. I think an Ademilola gets drafted but other than that could be dicey. Will be a light year for those of us collecting trading cards but that's not the worst news for the old wallet.

He's an OLB and they addressed their LB needs with free agency. They need a DT and an edge rusher. Foskey is a project regardless of where he goes. I'm just wondering how much of a fit he is for the Bears at 53.

My wish for Foskey is he goes to an already established playoff team where he can grow into his role. His going into a rebuild situation like Chicago might end up with his career being a coin flip.

What an arrogant prick. You would think the events that just happened to him would make him more humble. But I guess I am expecting to much from an SEC player.

It might be on the advice of counsel but point taken. I guess Rosenhaus and Carter don't think any teams will trade up so it's not worth engaging.

I think that is absolutely terrible advice and I hope he drops but I doubt he will.

Meet Cody Mauch, the most interesting offensive lineman in the NFL draft

Funny article about a kid from NDSU that should go in the first couple rounds. Funny that the article says he was talking "egg" science. If said in an eastern North Dakotan accent, Ag sounds like a bit like Egg. One of my professors out east was very confused when I was talking about how important ag was back home and was like...."I had no idea North Dakota had such advanced chicken-rearing caselaw."

Heard on the radio yesterday that Young is now the betting favorite to go #1 after Stroud had been for a while. Then this morning they're are saying Young, Levis and Richardson will go ahead of Stroud. Hard to believe Levis and Richardson would leap him. Has anyone heard anything about Stroud that would cause this?

Happens every year. It’s the time before the draft where people start creating crazy storylines. We have already been mock draft to death, so they try to feed us ridiculous rumors like this.

The first two picks should be Stroud and Young in some order. Levis is Trubisky 2.0; Richardson will get his HC/GM fired because they are drafting him because of his combine performance.

This is why the same handful of teams draft in the top 10 every year. They make on dumb ass decision after another. Can’t wait to see who reaches for Hendon Hooker in round one.
