they just gave Pat McAfee stupid money so they need to balance the books. TBF a lot of the ppl they got rid of today are turds like Keyshawn Johnson etc

Cord cutting and increasing sports rights fees are killing them. Also, Disney+ is hemorrhaging money, like every other streaming service, and they had to make significant cuts across all business lines. To the tune of 7K layoffs.

Just shared the exact same thought with a friend (albeit 3 hours after you apparently said it ha). I do agree with another poster that a lot of the guys that were let go were….expendable. Axing Herbstreit would have freed up some cap space tho…
