2020 Week 5 Watch Party

[Irish YJ]

Probably not as fun as last week, but a couple interesting games. Early games are meh, but a few interesting games mid day. 5* Phil gets a big test vs UNC, and those that want to tune in and watch our next opponent play a patsy have an opportunity. Will defnitely be tuning into to the Auburn/UGA match up of top 10s, with an eye on ISU/OK hoping OK stumbles for a second week in a row.

If it's a very close game, wouldn't be shocked (given our schedule), but if not, we'll be fine. We're 5th now, with UGA #4 and Auburn #7. An Auburn win likely flip flops their existing rankings. Not really a big deal even if it happens. A lot of FB left to be played.

Thanks for tossing this together YJ. I wonder if JT Daniels is playing Saturday, I couldn't find anything definitive, just reading "he's in the mix" to play.

Good spread of action, should be enjoyable football from noon till late. Looking forward to that 3:30 slot with A&M/Bama and UNC/BC.

florida vs s.c.---florida has a bunch of hype, s.c. plays spoiler every so often...hoping for this

then you got unc vs bc.....hoping unc pounds phil into ground, don't want unc to look good either so maybe they can both lose????? in all seriousness, we need unc to look good to boost our schedule

bama vs tamu-can tamu just go the hell away....always hyped and never living up to it...not to mention fuck elko and jimbo...roll tide roll

auburn vs georgia-legit good game at least for a prime time game.....hoping georgia wins but just hope it's in terrible fashion

I think the SCar/FL game could be closer than thought. FL has been playing better than I can remember in a long time though. I agree on TAMU/Bama. I think Bama rolls. I hope Auburn smacks UGA around.... Tired of hearing Go Dawgs... The QB situation is interesting as hell though. I do want to see OK get embarrassed again.

I'm on the fence with 5*Phil. Part of me wants to see him succeed, part of me wants to see UNC smash them so some folks will move on lol.

FL starting to pull away too. Trask is looking good again, and their TE Pitts is a monster.

I was scoffing at the Florida preseason love... but with LSU rebuilding and Bama needing a “big” win to start getting the hype again (how crazy is that lol), I kind of get it now. They look good, even if their first two opponents are trash.

Of all the FB I've watched so far this year, Trask and Lawrence at QBs are in the running, Gabriel from UCF is pretty darn good too. KJ Costello could be in the running if he masters Leach's O. Pitts is beastly but yea, TE. It's going to be a really interesting year.

TCU has totally outplayed them. Shouldn't be as close as it is on the scoreboard. That TO on the goal line was huge. TCU just got a huge 1st, which should only give TX about 15-25 secs left if they can stop TCU.

And yes, the legit stuff was, and is, BS.

It’s crazy towns, he’s a major blow hard bragger and knows really nothing about sports but insists he’s the expert in every room and yes, UT is gonna win the natty every year until they don’t. Even in years where they lose five games, it’s just a few bad calls that kept them from the playoff etc,... it’s been this way for years. When ND rocked them and then came back and lost the next year on that no call targeting the call was legit and made up for the terrible home field refs that gifted a far inferior ND team a win the year before,... seriously. You guys would trip out.

While I agree he can improve, he's been highly inconsistent on anything not short. UNC has a nasty D relative to UNC, so that's not helping Phil either.
