Maybe slightly, but I don't think BYU has a top 10 resume. I don't care how good you look if you're essentially dominating the JV squad in scrimmages. Their only slightly "quality" win came at Boise who was already down to their backup QB to start the game, who then got hurt on the opening drive. So, they beat QB3 on the blue turf...good for them?
You can throw out the argument "you can only beat who you play" because they were literally invited to Seattle this weekend to play UW and bolster their resume and BYU's AD said, "Nah, let's see where we're at in the rankings." I'm sure that looked weak to the committee, which we already know is highly subjective.
UC has a much stronger argument, they've played quality Group of 5 competition and have looked good doing so. BYU beating Texas St, N. Alabama and W. Kentucky by however much isn't going to cut it.
Hilarious to me they don't have a game scheduled until Dec. 12 against SDSU and they're like "nah, fam, we are going to see where we're at and ride this out" like they deserve to be in contention. What a joke.
