I know it'll never happen, but the PAC12 and BIG10 should have to play a play-in game to be considered for the CFP final four.

UGa doesn’t belong in the top15. TAMU shouldn’t be in top 10. BYU is getting overlooked.

It’s great to be relevant
IU should be higher
Georgia drastically overrated
BYU should be pissed
PAC12 teetering on being irrelevant

I could see 3-4 teams being left out that could make a legit argument for being in.

Maybe slightly, but I don't think BYU has a top 10 resume. I don't care how good you look if you're essentially dominating the JV squad in scrimmages. Their only slightly "quality" win came at Boise who was already down to their backup QB to start the game, who then got hurt on the opening drive. So, they beat QB3 on the blue turf...good for them?

You can throw out the argument "you can only beat who you play" because they were literally invited to Seattle this weekend to play UW and bolster their resume and BYU's AD said, "Nah, let's see where we're at in the rankings." I'm sure that looked weak to the committee, which we already know is highly subjective.

UC has a much stronger argument, they've played quality Group of 5 competition and have looked good doing so. BYU beating Texas St, N. Alabama and W. Kentucky by however much isn't going to cut it.

Hilarious to me they don't have a game scheduled until Dec. 12 against SDSU and they're like "nah, fam, we are going to see where we're at and ride this out" like they deserve to be in contention. What a joke.

I can't blame BYU here, because the Pac 12 gets to unilaterally cancel that game if the ASU/Utah game was postponed/cancelled due to COVID. Which was extremely likely and just happened last night.

BYU also countered that they were willing to play Washington in Seattle with a guarantee that the game would be played, or in Provo without the guarantee.

Oregon and USC are ranked so low there's virtually no way the make it in. Wiscy is now out since they won't be able to play the minimum number of games required.

I think it’d be hysterical if scUM opted out of the pOSU game and kept them out of the B1G champ game

Would be best case scenario if they did. I can’t stand either program so it would keep OSU out and be a terrible look for Michigan

Yep, they were talking about that on the show.

It's like we gave them the SEC bump...

How the fuck is Ohio State still 4

If they let OSU in without playing 8 games we need to storm the headquarters.

Fun fact: the chairman of the committee this year is a former qb from North Dakota State.

While I'm always in the Fvck OSU camp, they've always wanted to play (from the start of the year) and the BIG was simply a bunch of pussies along with the PAC.

That said, I'd be pissed if my team wanted to play from the start, and the conference (and potentially) and potentially a rival fvcked us....

Regardless, I'd be happy with an IU/NW CC, and would love an IU title. I still think they find a way to get OSU in.

Could not agree more. So a team can play 5-6 games and still be in while another team plays almost double. How incredibly ridiculous. IDC how good they look.. fuck OSU and the big 10

They don't even look that great...obviously a really good team but they are ranked 4 for reasons.... outside of the 2020 season.

I'm sure they did want to play, but conference affiliation giveth, and so should it take away.

Exactly! Why should ND and Clemson play against each other when the loser potentially gets left out, and Ohio St seemingly gets a free pass? If they agree to not play the ACC championship game then both teams would still have more games played and wins than tOSU could possibly have. By any metric, tOSU should not be in the top 4.

Yep. Notre Dame and Clemson say they arent playing games for next 3 weeks because of player safety concerns.

I agree. The problem lies within a scenario where Clemson wins and there's a potential third meeting between them in the playoffs. I'm not interested in that.

I get it, these kids and coaches have played hard and earned the right to play for the ACC championship, but personally, I'd be fine if they just claimed a regular season champion and let Clemson and ND into the playoffs where they can duke it out for a National title instead.

I really liked seeing that (but still don't fully understand it). Showing a little love for ND for once ... makes our resume look better by beating current #3 and #14 teams!

Yeah I was thinking similar. Haha. Its like they think UNC played the #2 team in the country well... and not that ND played poorly against an inferior opponent...

No saying that OSU deserves to be in with only playing a handful of games but to me they seem like the best first round opponent for ND except for maybe TA&M.

Cincinnati would be nice but I’m not sure it’s possible. The thing is as I’ve said before, if a 5/6 Win OSU gets in ahead of an undefeated 10 win Cincinnati then The system is broke for the small schools. Winning literally twice as many games, against a surprisingly decent schedule and still being bent. We should stop pretending there’s a chance and just separate it into two divisions power vs non power and make It that you only play games within your division.

Good point. I wasn't even figuring Cincy into the equation. As you note, that's probably out of the realm of possibility but we shall see...

If you take away P5 games from G5/FCS teams, you may be harming them more than helping them
