By "that one game" you are referring to the game where we actually played and beat them yes? The game where each team went on the field with the stated goal of finding out who is better at football and we won?

No sense in getting worked up over this. These rankings will get scrambled shortly since four teams in the top 10 are playing each other this weekend. If we win out, we're guaranteed in. Beyond that, all I care about is dodging 'Bama in the 1st round.

The committee *cares* about wins more than they look down on a loss, at least when it suits their desired talking points. LSU has two wins in the top 25, ND has one.

They also generate buzz for the LSU/Bama game. Their criteria will also change every week so they can bend the rankings to generate interest wherever they want it.

Ignore it all... after all, the only reason they didn’t put LSU at #2 to make a statement is because this was the first show. Can’t jump the shark quite yet.

I feel like people are continuing to give LSU a ton of credit for beating auburn and Miami and totally forgetting that auburn and Miami actually are not good. In reality, our schedules are not that dissimilar - we each have 1 elite win 1 good win and a whole bunch of mediocre wins. And we, ya know, haven’t lost.

One thing I'm sure of, is ND loses, our chances of making it are slim, very slim....

We have only #19 Syracuse in the top 25 teams in our future. They will possibly drop out of the top 25 if we beat them, and if we lose to them, we'd drop at least 5-7 spots with only 1 game left. We have no conf championship to make up ground. Our best chance at losing, and making the final 4 is losing this weekend.... Losing the last game at a .500 USC knocks us out.
