Lol, Purdue is probably paying $5 mil annually for a .500 coach who is getting whooped by Auburn

TCU had something like 30 season-ending injuries this year. Their roster was down to 50 scholarship players ready to play at one point. Finishing 8-6 with a bowl victory over a much-improved Cal team ain't bad all things considered.

I was at that game a couple nights ago. 6 interceptions before the half, 9 in total for the game. Was actively rooting for more, as that was the only exciting thing going on. Made me wonder what the current record for total interceptions in a single NCAA game is, but I couldn't find it.

Wow I was not aware of that.

So, according my math, Auburn is precisely 50 points better than Ohio State.

I wonder how many points better than Purdue is Auburn’s #2’s?

this game looks like the time the Miami Hurricanes played Long Beach st. in the late 80's early 90's

UCF's hater still think last year's win over Auburn was not a high quality win....

Brohm might have nightmares about Louisville tonight... ughhh

Found this. John Reaves, Florida QB, in 1969 threw a NCAA record of nine interceptions in one game against Auburn and a Florida records of 66 passes in the same game and 59 interceptions in his three year career. That's all I've got.

“Their safeties were the only guys who were open that day,” Reaves quipped. “They came out in a cover two and you have to understand, that was something brand new in football. What we were running on offense was brand new to college football but so was the cover two they threw at us that day. We had never seen anything like it.”

As for TCU, I found this,
In all, Patterson said about 40 players have missed at least four games throughout the season with injuries. He estimated there’s been about 20 season-ending injuries ranging from the starting quarterback (Shawn Robinson) to a standout defensive tackle lost in fall camp (Ross Blacklock).

Patterson also said three or four players in the bowl game would need surgery afterwards. TCU did win two out of their final three games to become bowl eligible against W.Va, Baylor and Oklahoma St.

With West Virginia’s loss to Syracuse, no Conference will go undefeated in Bowl play this year.

If you enjoy smash-mouth offense, Pittsburgh and Stanford are playing in the 85th Sun Bowl. The Sun Bowl is tied for second longest annual bowl game with the Orange and Sugar. Only the Rose Bowl has a longer history.

Pat Narduzzi, Pitt coach:

The community of El Paso gets behind the Sun Bowl. David Shaw said his players are excited because the Sun Bowl’s “hospitality is off the charts” and added that the reception the city gives its traveling teams “is the best of all the bowls.”

As we know, Stanford "fans" are a small group and may not travel well.
I don’t know what’s it’s like in other host cities but yeah... El Paso really does get behind the Sun Bowl every year, I noticed that before I even moved out here. Its pretty cool. Amazing venue too.

Most casual fans will assume Auburn is spiraling into dysfunction while the “feel good story” of the year is Purdue. As much as I’d love the Boilers to win one for Tyler Trent, my gut tells me they get beat handily. Hope I’m wrong but bowl games are so unpredictable.

Should of put my money where my post was...that was ugly for Purdont.

Well in UCFs defense, Milton was the heartbeat of their team, and would 100% be playing his butt off in that game if he didnt have a mangled leg. This game means a lot to them, as it should.

Speaking of Milton, is his career over or is he expected to recover from this injury?

I literally laughed out loud at this. When you remember that Nick Saban is your coach.

Oh Jesus, that was funny and I laughed out loud too. "Kyler Murray is not what everybody... (OH SHIT! Coach gonna KILL me!)... Umm, I'm good."

Huh? I think most people viewed it as their only quality win last year.

And guess what, they are set up to get another 'quality win' because it feels like half of LSU is not playing in this game.

Is there anything dumber than a fullback dive on 4th and inches? Either QB sneak or go for the big play.

I'm torn on this one. I think it helps Notre Dame for the Big Ten to be generally successful. It breaks the national perception that talent only exists in the South.

As long as everybody recognizes afterwards that Florida was very mediocre this year, I don't care. Although the ideal is always that Michigan loses.

How 'bout the Orange!

"ACC! ACc! ..."

Nope, I'm just not a conference guy.

Great story about Eric Dungey, whose had an excellent career with Syracuse, getting his only Power 5 offer from the Orange. His other offers were from Air Force, Colorado State, Harvard, Montana State, UC Davis, UNLV, Wyoming and Yale. He was in the Class of 2015.

Lake Oswego is a suburb within walking distance to downtown Portland. Justin Herbert, another three star, is from Eugene, Oregon. He was in the Class of 2016,

Tough kid who went from rumors that his career may be over after the back injury against ND to coming back the next week to beat BC, throwing for 362 yds.

Daniel Jones, Duke's QB, was a grayshirt unranked QB with his only offer from Princeton. Do they give scholarships?

Felipe Franks going with the Brandon Wimbush game plan so far, just not quite as well executed. Don Brown’s man coverages are basic AF.

Exactly. They were an overrated #10 who simply went 7-3 w/ bad beats at home to Mizzou & UK. That being said, I think UF wins a close one b/c we all know when an SEC team wins...it just means more.
