With Bryant being reinstated I can't see them going WR in the first round, I'd rather they trade back if that situation arose. I'm not a Peppers fan either so I'm hoping they either trade back or grab a OLB if a good one falls

When is the last time Pittsburgh has traded back though? I don't think Kevin Colbert has ever traded back. With that being said, this would be a great year to do it because of the high amount of good players in this draft and the lack of Steelers draft picks. Kevin Colbert loves to go BPA, especially when it is a position that can help immediately. I'm hoping for TJ Watt, Tre White, and I wouldn't mind Jabrill Peppers either. Peppers has some Polamalu in him.

But until Tomlin realizes he can't use a zone defense against Brady and Co., it's all for naught. It boggles the mind that he hasn't recognized this and made adjustments. Brady treats that defense like a red headed step child.

They've mentioned this off season this off season that an improved man defense is a top priority. But you're right; I hate that dink n' dunk offense.

Yeah, I don't think they've ever traded out of the first round but this year the draft is deep with both DBs and OLBs so moving back and grabbing an extra pick wouldn't hurt.

I think Peppers is an idiot without the drug test (the herpes thing at Michigan) and I don't trust that he would not screw up in the NFL. I also don't like that he barely played DB in college.

I'm a huge Peppers believer, but he has to be in the right defense.

He's a Patrick Chung clone physically, and it took him years (and two different stints with Belichick) until he actually found the right spot defensively.

I think Peppers is similar in that you can't really leave him in space in coverage. He needs to be floating around by the line of scrimmage. I'm curious to see where he goes, and he could easily flame out if he ends up with the wrong scheme/franchise.

All of the NFL beat guys did 1st round mock draft and only picked for the team that they cover.

2017 NFL Nation Mock Draft - Cleveland Browns get Myles Garrett of Texas A&M Aggies, Mitchell Trubisky of North Carolina Tar Heels

Corey Davis is dropping all the way to Pittsburgh!?!? I know they need to defense but they can't pass on, arguably, the best receiver in the draft.

Ben, Bell, Brown, Bryant, Davis, and a top 3 o-line: good luck to the rest of the NFL at stopping that!

The rest of the NFL snickers at Pittsburgh spending their first round pick on a WR which means it'll probably happen.

I'm with you, I think his lack of production in college despite the rare athleticism should give pause but he's an exceptional talent. Depending on who drafts him and how they use him, I think he can be a very valuable piece.

How was he a "knucklehead" in college? Because some broad said he gave her the clap? He was never arrested or involved with a controversy. This talk of Peppers being a bad kid are utter nonsense.

you fail a drugs test even for a dilute sample at the combine you are most definitely a knucklehead.

Yeah, this is where I become hesitant with drafting him. He's been playing hard his entire life to get himself in this unique situation. How do you fail a drug test at the combine when THEY LITERALLY TELL YOU WHEN THE DRUG TEST WILL BE!? As Stephen A. Smith says, stay off the weeeeedddddd. All it takes is a little bit of math and drawing out a time table and then you'll pass the drug test with flying colors.

I read yesterday this is a deep draft. 40+ players have first round grades. Last year it was half of that.

Top 10 isn't anything to jump up and down about, but top to bottom, it's a very good draft doing into it.

The guy started 4 years, was a captain and never once got into trouble. But gets a diluted drug test at the combine and suddenly he is a "total knucklehead". Sheesh, whatever.

Davis hasn't done much, if any, workouts as he's dealt with injuries for most of the draft season. I'm sure that's part of why he's falling.

He went to Michigan. He either made a horrible decision or was on drugs at the time. Pair that with what looks possibly like another drug issue, you have a pattern of drug use and/or poor decision making.

He started one game as a freshman and 12 as a sophomore. Wtf are you talking about?

You said he started four years, he wasn't even there four years and was injured for the majority of one of them.... wtf are YOU talking about???

I'm with you Wooly and my position is clear on certain prospects. Peppers doesn't give me pause although the diluted urine is troubling, only because it shows a lack of control. Just don't fvcking smoke so you can make more money. That's all it takes but instead, he's diluting urine/pounding water.

That wouldn't prevent me from drafting him, it just notifies me what I may be dealing with in the locker room.

So guys are only considered "starters" if they play every single game of a season? So there's like a hand full of starters returning for us this season in your world?

He started games in every season he was at Michigan.... better now?

You said he started four years when he wasn't even on campus that long... So in your world Jaylon was a four year starter???

Yeah, I hear ya. My biggest concern would be physically with him, as he's a tweener.

I would also bet that it wasn't weed that he was covering, but rather a PED of some sort.

NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - Jarron Jones

NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - Isaac Rochell

NFL Events: Combine Player Profiles - DeShone Kizer

Didn't see these in here - Should be interesting to see where these guys end up. Everything I have read has zero mention of Kizer in the first round with Watson, Mahomes and Tribusky all getting some play without any consideration of Kizer.

Jones' eval is kind of brutal but so true. Good point about him playing out of position, better suited in a different role.

Dreaming big on the way to work this morning...

Browns draft Garrett.

This diluted sample thing makes Foster fall a bit and they get him at 12. Then they get a highly rated CB or S at 33.

All the defensive play-makers, all the picks.

Foster may fall further. It's now known he failed drug tests at Bama so his over hydrating answer for the diluted test probably isn't going to fly.

Yep, Ive covered this before. I'm born and raised just outside of Los Angeles... Never once been east of St Louis. Always liked UCLA (family are all Bruins) and the Angels but when I was growing up the thug image was all over the Raiders, Trojans, Kings, and I wouldn't root for any of them. So Angels were easy, and then other sports I, as a pre teen, gravitated to certain out of town teams for various reasons...

For the Browns it was the 1980s, the Dawg Pound, Tecmo bowl, Kevin Mack and Kosar... I feel in love and I'm loyal to a fault.

I'll always be a Browns fan.

Just thought of this... who did you like when the Browns weren't a team during '96-'98 seasons? I know the win totals remained during that window, but you did notice right?

The move crushed me (dead serious)... but I rooted for San Diego. Still like the Chargers but they are a distant second. I was so excited when they came back.

Doesn't it seem like there is a lot more noise around Kizer? I know a lot of it is negative, but media and GM's seem to be talking about him more than any other QB in the draft. It just makes me think that some of these guys are trying to get him to fall to their team.
