Rumors picking up from Cincy reporters/blogs that the Bengals (11 picks!) could dump one or two of their extra picks to move up in the 2nd and grab Mixon before he's gone.

So conflicted.

They already have Hill and Gio. Why would they need to reach for a RB?

Who goes up to a room to watch a stranger they met on the elevator in a threesome? Im not sure I'm buying her story.

Also convenient timing. Probably trying to get a payout knowing that even knowing he's innocent he can't have this hanging over his head come thursday.

They don't fool around with that philosophy do they???

Their ignorance towards ignorance is astounding. They lost a playoff game to the Steelers last year because they are so undisciplined and IMO downright dumb. They are absolute meatheads that never seem to figure it out. How Marv is still the coach is mind bending but that speaks to the organization I guess. They'll draft Mixon and act surprised when he gets popped for Lord knows what in year 1.

To be fair, their dude's don't get in much trouble once they are there, no? I'm not sure one way or the other, so honest question.

They certainly have a rep for being an undisciplined team though either way. Although I actually don't know if the numbers back that up though or not....

That's probably accurate other than Pac Man. He can't get in a cab without getting in trouble. I guess they do more than their share of stupid sh*t between the lines and it doesn't appear the coaching staff does anything to correct it, including cutting players that hurt the team.

They already have Hill and Gio. Why would they need to reach for a RB?

Gio is coming off of an ACL, and Hill has not been motivated for whatever reason... the offensive line isn't great, but Rex Fvckin' Burkhead ran better than Hill behind that same line last year... like, by a wide YPC margin.

Maybe they grab Mixon and one of Hill/Bernard becomes trade bait? I always thought Bernard was the perfect running back for New England, and that he would land there eventually, but now they've got James White locked up for four years, so that's out.

No, they don't. Marvin keeps them in-line, mostly.

Rey Maulauga got popped for a DUI one time, and Pacman has had several run-ins with the law in his years in Cincy (dude needs to be cut ASAP), but other than that, not much trouble in Cincinnati. The stigma is just a wrongful stereotype at this point.

*Of course, this doesn't count Burfict being a complete dumbass ON the field, but he stays out of trouble off of it.

New England just signed RFA Mike Gillislee, from Buffalo, resigned Brandon Bolden and signed Rex Burkhead to go along w Dion Lewis and James White.

Projected 1st round pick Gareon Conley from OSU has been accused of sexual assault. Under investigation.

Rex Burkhead is legit. I'm pissed that the Bengals let him go, only to now supposedly be looking into RB's.

He could end up being the primary back in NE based on his skillset, with White and Lewis getting 3rd-down work.

I'm curious how it will all play out. Gillislee and Burkead are both legit. Lewis/White are great in the passing game. It's going to be a fantasy nightmare, but I bet that's a crazy productive backfield.

On another note, Cooks/Edelman/Hogan/Mitchell/Amendola also seems like a fantasy headache. They are loaded at the skill positions finally though. 2017 Pats could rival 2007.

ON the Bengals and drafting a RB... they know all these RBs can't play o line right?? What are they doing up front? They lost quite a bit didn't they?

The line is "stable" in that they've got 5 starters that they're going to stick with.

They lost Zeitler at guard and Whitworth at LT.

They replace Zeitler with Andre Smith, and replace Whitworth with Cedric Obueghi. Fisher starts at RT.

They NEED OL help, but it's too early to use draft picks when Obueghi and Fisher are tying up money, and are only going into their third year. They need at least one of those two to develop into a viable OT, and can address the other spot next year.

They have time to develop and make the draft plan of two years ago look smart, but it doesn't have a rosy outlook at the moment. But it's too early to blow it up and restart. They need to address the defense and offensive skill first.

When the Pats do get around to drafting (first pick currently #72), I bet they go O Line. That's about the only area I see they may get challenged unless a position group gets devastated with injuries in the year. Even with injuries, it would appear their wide out group and the RB group could have sustained success.

Agreed. OL depth is meh, although I like the starters. OL, Edge, LB is all I really see as needs. TE probably as well.

Growing up on Lake Erie has unfortunately lead me down the path of being a Browns fan. I've never rescinded fandom in my entire life, but if the Browns select a quarterback #1 overall, I'm calling it off. Fool me once, shame on them. Fool me 28 times, shame on me.

They won't... if they do take a QB at 1 then yeah, I would totally understand jumping ship... or at least taking a god long NFL sabbatical... which is what I would do.

(at least you grew up out there... I've never even been to Ohio... talk about unfortunate life choices)

Yep, Ive covered this before. I'm born and raised just outside of Los Angeles... Never once been east of St Louis. Always liked UCLA (family are all Bruins) and the Angels but when I was growing up the thug image was all over the Raiders, Trojans, Kings, and I wouldn't root for any of them. So Angels were easy, and then other sports I, as a pre teen, gravitated to certain out of town teams for various reasons...

For the Browns it was the 1980s, the Dawg Pound, Tecmo bowl, Kevin Mack and Kosar... I feel in love and I'm loyal to a fault.

I'll always be a Browns fan.

For the record, being a Browns fan has obviously been nightmarish from a fan perspective,... Drive, Fumble, Move, Belichick, bottle throwing and then the last decade, yeah.

it's still been easier than being an ND lifer.

football sucks.

You mocked Mixon to Chicago and they have Langford and Howard. Why would Chicago need a 3rd back?

Hill hasn't been that good since his rookie year and Gio can't stay healthy.

What are the chances a talent like Corey Davis or David Njoku drops to the final picks of the 1st round? I've seen a lot of mocks in the last day or 2 where they are still available.

All of the NFL beat guys did 1st round mock draft and only picked for the team that they cover.

2017 NFL Nation Mock Draft - Cleveland Browns get Myles Garrett of Texas A&M Aggies, Mitchell Trubisky of North Carolina Tar Heels

Corey Davis is dropping all the way to Pittsburgh!?!? I know they need to defense but they can't pass on, arguably, the best receiver in the draft.

Ben, Bell, Brown, Bryant, Davis, and a top 3 o-line: good luck to the rest of the NFL at stopping that!

But until Tomlin realizes he can't use a zone defense against Brady and Co., it's all for naught. It boggles the mind that he hasn't recognized this and made adjustments. Brady treats that defense like a red headed step child.

With Bryant being reinstated I can't see them going WR in the first round, I'd rather they trade back if that situation arose. I'm not a Peppers fan either so I'm hoping they either trade back or grab a OLB if a good one falls
