2017 NFL Draft

Bears taking a safety 3rd. Hmmmmmm. Here's a list of all safeties taken in top 10 since 1991:

Also, I think Mark Barron was as well back in 2012. Adams is as good of a safety prospect in years though, since probably Berry.

Cook at 29 to GB would be unbelievable value

The Ringer has posted their Mock Draft 2.0, and it has some significant changes.

https://theringer.com/ringer-nfl-mock-draft-version-2-6917921551d6

Of note - no running backs in round 1, and a run on offensive lineman and QBs as they argue desperation in a thin class will push decision making rather than "best available".

1. CLE - Garrett
2. SF - Soloman Thomas (this has become a common pick now, I'm on board)
12. CLE - Malik Hooker
25 HOU - Kizer (ROARSOME)
"The Texans offloaded Brock Osweiler and his terrible contract earlier this month, so now they can start planning for the future with a relatively blank slate. Houston’s moves in the draft last year, especially the selection of speedy wideout Will Fuller in the first round, betrayed Bill O’Brien’s desire to open up the passing game downfield and stress defenses vertically. Kizer has all the arm Houston’s coach needs to execute that style of attack. Plus, he would be taking snaps from his former teammate Nick Martin and throwing deep bombs to his former favorite target at Notre Dame in Fuller. Oh, and it wouldn’t hurt that he’d also have DeAndre Hopkins out there, too."

Garrett, Howard, Mixon and Maye???

In the base situation given, I'd take that I guess though I'd rather get a safety at 33 and then maybe take JuJu at 52??

I've seen a lot of mocks with JuJu to the Browns... mid draft... makes me wonder if they all just kind of copy each other...

Happy to.

3. Kiper - Hooker (took him over Adams)
McShay - Allen (ignore the bad combine, dude is a monster)

36. Kiper - Chidobe Awuzie: CB from Colorado; (acknowledges shopping spree on secondary, but this is good boost at this spot)
McShay - Quincy Wilson: CB from Florida (samesies, just prefers Wilson for Bears)

Hooker and Awuzie would be a great haul for the def. backfield. Concern on Allen is arthritic shoulders. Daniel Jeremiah in his mock today had them taking Marshon Lattimore in round one.

I am glad it isnt Adams. Kid could end up being a stud, and he did improve his 40 quite a bit today. I just like the other safeties and corners a lil better.

Round 1 (9): Haason Reddick, LB, Temple
Round 2 (41): Chris Wormley, DT, Michigan
Round 3 (73): JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC

I could live with that, though I'd much rather Reuben Foster make it to no.9

I love the Browns moving up from 12... absolutely loathe it if it's for a QB tho.....
