He also mentioned he tore his labrum in the Stanford game (and is having shoulder surgery soon to repair it). After the Stanford game, he not only went on to play 9 more games, but caught 60 passes for 873 yards and 12 TD's. He'll now be a 1st round draft pick in 6 or 7 weeks.

Under BK, he would have had to miss the entire season, and probably the spring and summer as well, due to a torn labrum.

I doubt Kizer even practiced the 40. I believe he was probably faster in high school, guessing he was mid-4.6's. Like Jarious Jackson. Of all Irish QB's since 2000!

Am thinking Steve Young and Cam the only legitimate, top NFL QB's with sub 4.5 speed? Don't know if it helped or if the relied much on it when they got in the league, except to save their own lives.

Especially if the offense he'll be running utilizes it.

I think he has much less potential than Quinn.

Don't be mad I'm just with Farrell. That's all. And yes Goff does suck. But he's faster than Kizer.

I love Brady Quinn but Kizer has FAR more potential then Quinn.

Yeah I heard an interview with him yesterday that he is having surgery next week.

Did not watch Kizer throw today. Sadly it seems he was not very good. Accuracy and mechanics still a major issue

Completely overrated how they throw at combine. Cam was terrible. Which is why agents generally tell top QB's to pass up throwing at combine and do it at pro day with receivers he's familiar with. Pro day performance and individual workouts will be far more important.

Simple. Downfield passing accuracy. In his two years as a starting QB he rated dead last in the league in downfield accuracy (which is defined as throws 20 yards or more). If you can't make those throws you'll have a short NFL career.

And for NFL coaches that is all fixable. Rarely does a college QB come out of college with great mechanics. They all have to be coached. Part of the process. Right now they are looking for certain traits. Arm strength to make necessary NFL throws, can he read the field, how does he process information, leadership qualities. Texan coach Bill O'Brien said the two things he's most interested in seeing from the QB's at the combine is the interview and the medical reports.

I like Kizer just not to that level.

The Jonathan Allen news is disappointing. I wouldn't go near that now.

Jamal Adams seems like he's everything you want in an NFL safety.

Very deep DB and TE class. Key special teams contributors.

I'd stay away from QBs in the first round this year. If you're wrong, you're wrong. Including Kizer. Way more value down the line. Considering the state of their franchises, CLE/SF/CHI have some balls if they draft a QB where they're at. Especially the Bears. That regime is now on thin ice.
