I'm a life long Notre Dame and Kansas fan...

giphy.gif

It's kind of sad that the biggest moment in terms of cfb fandom in my adult life is KU's Orange Bowl win over VT.... That was a very fun team tho

I still have my #11 Jacque Vaughn jersey hanging in my closet somewhere right next to my # 3 ND warm up (from the Monty Williams era)...

Always been a fan of both regardless of the sport really... UCLA is up there too just because the rest of my fam are all Bruin fans and FUSC.

Long to short, with KU, UCLA and ND it has potential to be a very fun tourney.

Rooting for South Dakota State tonight. I'm supposed to hate them but I have a soft spot for both SD schools. Particularly their football teams (fcs).

Mike f'ing Daum is the man. Wish he was playing for ndsu.

My Norse are going dancing!

First time since 1970 that a team has gone dancing in its first year of eligibility. They were ranked in the 290's coming into the season in terms of experience, too, so they're young.

Could be a good couple of years at NKU coming up.

Wrong. North Dakota State did in 2009. I think another team did recently as well.

It was going through my head...i swear. I am on mobile... it's a pain in the butt on mobile. I batted in the 9 hole on the baseball team though so this makes sense.

Man, a month and a half ago, I was legitimately concerned South Dakota State wasn't going to make the Summit League Tournament yet somehow they are dancing. They will get a 15 or 16 and get crushed because outside of Mike Daum there isn't much. But, Mike Daum is so good and only a sophomore.

Mike Daum State University man. I don't know how you guys convince a P5 star to go to Brookings every 4-5 years but it's fun to watch. We haven't had a baller even close to that since Woodside (for the P5 snobs here, he put up 37 on #2 see KU in '09).

Looking forward to seeing their game. Daum can keep their game interesting.

If I remember correctly Daum had some bad weight and wasn't really developed coming out of high school. Kid has put in a ton of work since he got to SDSU. It's going to shatter every scoring record Nate Wolters set a few years ago.

Ha, it was nice to get a W in the SKYLINE CHILI Crosstown Shootout this year, even withstanding Bluiett's career night.

I was covering the ASUN conference tournament for my school paper the year they started that run. They truly were a site to behold.

I mean, c'mon bro! The other team has to win every once in a while for it to be a rivalry, and with X taking 12 of the last 18, UC has to get some wins to have some modern relevance in this rivalry.

I guess for a UC fan it is a rivalry. For X it's usually just another victory...

I expect a turning of the tide over the next several years, if the abuse that freshman Jarron Cumberland put JP Macura through is to be any indication...

X just signed the best recruiting class in program history. I smell more Bearkitty sadness.

Miami just beat Syracuse. Does Syracuse get in at 18-14?

Most people thought they didn't deserve to get in last year then they went on a run to the Final Four. I know last year isn't supposed to matter, but it can't be easy for the committee to ignore that.

There hasn't been a 14 loss team selected as an at-large in the last few years. There have only been 11 such teams selected before. 2011 was the last time one was selected (there were actually 5 selected that year) and all but one lost their first game. Some dude by the name of Jimmy Butler lead Marquette to the S16 that year. Of note, of those teams with 14 losses that year, all of them had at least 19 wins.

Cuse is in trouble and I would keep them out. 2-11 on the road. Non-conference losses include St. Johns, Georgetown, UCONN an Wisky.

I will be thoroughly enjoying Jimmy's crying come Sunday night.

It's no coincidence Boeheim said "this may be my last year" a few weeks ago. Guy is a complete slimeball, but is smart. They became a lock IMO when that happened.

It will be complete BS if they get in regardless of his intentions. The committee would take a lot of heat for sure.

The justification for them getting in will go far beyond his pandering. They will drum up all those "quality wins" while glossing over the fact they barely treaded water this season.

*The only chaos that would keep them out IMO is if another middling program like IU runs the table in the B1G Tourney

Big win for ND hoops last night. Monkey off the back.

Tough loss for Butler.

Big win for IU. Only hope is winning the B1G. They really shit the bed this year.

Rock Chalk upset in quarterfinals. Got caught looking ahead probably.

Yeah the end of that Kansas game was pretty good. TCU with the late foul shots from a freshman; Kansas got a clean look at a potential tying basket on a nice home-run pass. Good stuff.

I also fell asleep early last night and didn't see any of the ND/VA game. So bummed out when I woke up and saw the score and highlights.

Rex Pfluger. The disrespect on that reverse jam.

If Bill Walton says "the conference of champions" one more time during this broadcast of the PAC 12 championship I'm going to go crazy.

QUICK. Last team from the Pac-12 to win the NCAA Championship and year without looking... who knows?
