Jeff Thomas tearing it up in the under Armor game kid is lightning quick. Why haven't we offered? Grades? ESPN ratting 84. solid 4 star kid is from East St Louis.

During the beginning of the UA practices I read one of ND's talking heads write Markaviest Bryant should be getting a call from ND soon. Not sure if that meant he is worthy of the call or if they heard he would be receiving one. I think it was Hare, maybe Brown(???). Anyone remember the article?

I would be awfully nice to get a Bryant, Parks, Conliffe, Allen or Brown in the 11th hour.

I'd take the over. They may not set the world on fire, but I'd bank on at least 3 more.

It's basically better's talk so there is not a wash. If you set the over/under at a whole number it could be a wash or fall exactly on the number, so they throw the half in there so your bet is guaranteed to go over or under.

I agree. I'm not going to get hyped up about Parks and Conliffe just yet but Elko will definitely be grabbing some late players.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about how good our class really is. I do really like some parts. Really good OL as usual, 2 of the top 3 TE's in the country is amazing, I like CJ Holmes, Darnell Ewell, Robertson and think we have some players that could work out great. Not getting a high talent DE is really bad. No WR's is really bad. Our LB commits, although talented both look around 6'0, 220 tops...and it doesn't look like we're going to close that well. Maybe Simmons who's a 200lb LB and possibly Martin. Maybe I'm just frustrated in this dead time but I have concerns.

Top100 DE considering Notre Dame official visit

Top 100 DE Jarez Parks has been hanging out with Cole Kmet at AA and they've gotten along well. Kmet has been recruiting him hard and stated that Parks may visit. It's a long shot but this kid would be huge and many SEC schools are filling up. Elko added him on Twitter.

Food for thought, It seems like every night you have some epiphany about how great or bad this class is, with a differing opinion quite frequently. Considering there isn't much changing, my suggestion would be, let the class play out. Evaluate all the parts, come NSD, and then come up with the final eval. A lot will probably change between now and then. Not only with the composition of the class but also with the eval of each player. Ex. Adams arrow is definitely pointing down, but it sounds like Lugg/Adebo is pointing up.

Update: We do have a WR commit, Michael Young.

Dude all year you were saying how excited you were for this class. Unless this is the first time you've actually thought about this class.

I was excited about how it was coming along while thinking we would add some solid players to close it out. Now we've lost Werner, Pouncey and missed on Paschal and Graham and don't look to be picking up much steam especially on positions of need. IMO, DE is our biggest need and all we've got is MacCollister, a low 3 star SDE...

Yes, MacCollister also has a ton of work to do, by far our biggest project in this class.

Missing on Beal, Kaindoh(if it was ever truly there), Jeter, Paschal and the others we did once again was a major blow to this recruiting class. We definitely have been in the race with many top guys but haven't seemed to close the last couple years. Going 4-8 this year doesn't help one bit. As everyone knows this is the biggest year for BK in his tenure and he needs to knock this recruiting class out of the park. We need to bring in some elite talent something this roster needs a few guys of. Luckily Elko seems to get it and seems to be swinging for the fences, we really need this guy to produce on and off the field almost as important in recruiting as he will be on the field this year.
