Is Trump going to apply the brakes or is he just a train wreck waiting to happen? Judging by his unexplained and often shockingly uninformed proposals, I'd say the train will stop in a twisted pile of metal and human tragedy. I will choose imperfect sanity and measured proposals over the politics of random barroom brawls. I want a leader who was chosen by people who have given their choice a little more thought than that. A guy who, at this point in the political campaign who has offered no plans (only vague and abrasive policies to appeal to the lowest common denominator) has no plans. What are your guys going to do on Nov. 9 when the hangover is full blown?

I think Trump can either be a great president and really turn it around or he can crash and burn. I look at it like this. Obama and the majority of the media tell you how everything is going swell and we are better than ever! Fox News and talk radio says everything is fubar. It's somewhere in the middle IMO.

The biggest area of concern for is foreign policy. Now, I'm not going to be politically correct here so be warned...

Hilary will not in anyway be respected by foreign leaders. Not a chance in hell, especially Muslim country's. Putin? let's get real. She will get ran out of town and laughed at. Trump? I think that we can all agree that he has a happy trigger finger or it appears that way. There is something to be said about that. We all went to school with the dude you didn't mess. Most of the time you never even saw him throw a punch, but you knew if he did. Your dome was going to get dented.

I like Trumps style, I actually like that he is vague. It's smart in my opinion. All politicians do is lie. We can all agree on that I'm sure. All trump really has to do is deliver on the wall lol. He's hung his hat on that one.

I think all of this, all though we disagree I respect your reasons for hating on Trump, Not going to argue the particulars with you.. I think Trump with a lot of help from the right people will help the county and the world. If it's Hilary I'm pessimistic at best, but I'd gladly take a strong economy and a strong presence around the world with her. I just don't think it's going to happen.

There are plenty of reasons Trump might lose, not least of which are the ones you named. However, that has nothing to do with what he said or his very well-founded fears in that department given the fact that Hillary's machine rigged the process against one of your own, not to mention a number of The Voting Dead and rigged elections from your party in the past.

The Palm Beach County Butterfly Ballot Controversy
Wednesday morning brought the first specific reports of voting irregularity in Florida. Attention soon focused on the design of the ballot in Palm Beach County, which many voters found confusing. This ballot design used 2 pages for voting on a single office. The candidates were staggered one on the left page, then one on the right page, and then back to the left page again. The name corresponded to holes that ran down the center between the 2 pages. These punch-card style voting machines required the voter to pick up a pointed stylus, line it up with the hole corresponding to his candidate of choice, and to push it down into the hole and through the voter card underneath the ballot booklet. Some voters found the left, right, left, right design confusing. George Bush and Al Gore were the first two candidates listed on the left side, but the hole corresponding to Al Gore's name was the third one down, not the second one. The second hole belonged to Pat Buchanan, whose name was the first one listed on the right side of the ballot. Ironically, this ballot design was chosen in part because it allows for larger print, and it was an attempt to accommodate the county's large elderly population. Unfortunately, as many as 3,000 voters who intended to vote for Al Gore ignored the right side of the ballot and punched the second hole down and thus accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan (The punch card itself is slipped in beneath this ballot from above). Voters in Palm Beach County were sent a sample ballot by mail, but it did not show the holes down the center.

The following day, Reform Party candidate Pat Buchanan agreed that most of the 3,400 votes he got in Palm Beach County. The county, known for its Democratic support, were likely accidentally cast for him due to the ballot confusion, and were meant for Al Gore. Buchanan has consistently confirmed this belief on television ever since (often with a wry smile).

We didn't forget. Or forget that a different sample version was sent out than the one that appeared on the ballot. Just one of over fifty irregularities overseen by Republican controlled election boards.

I love both of you guys and really mean no disrespect. But this is exactly what I have been saying. Both of your posts are extremely egocentric. In fact, I cannot think of anyone but a white male Republican who would say any of what you did.

George W. Bush is the worst President the US has had with the possible exception of Warren G. Harding. His administration was just horrible. He is responsible for taking a fairly solid economy and totally fucking it up. Tax cuts, wars, and the rest of his nonsense. And he even fucked the wars up. He started a war with a country that had nothing to do with 911! Not only that, every reason his administration gave for starting that war was wrong. Totally bull shit. So he didn't have the resources to prosecute the war in Afghanistan against Al-Qaida, or capture and destroy ben laden. And then after seven plus years of playing with themselves a new President is elected, and he gets him boldly within three years!

So I think Hillary, who was a part of why OBL was finally killed engenders penis envy on the part of some. And, I think it is great that we can break it down as to how a person is going to vote by education or intelligence. I think you are selling Republicans short, overselling Democrats, giving them the whole 'bottom 50 percent.' Believe me, I know a lot of Republicans and some of them aren't the great golden middle, but are actually pretty stupid, and uneducated.

Don't kid yourself, you better believe most of the smart folks and those in the middle are actually independents!

Bogs Love reflected...my point was not to defend W, it was to say if you believe he was an idiot, how in God's name can you fail to see Libya as Double Down idiotic?

I won't even get into the Iraq "Pull n Pray"...it was bad, and she was there in a role that was more than a spectator.

Her Optics with the Russians certainly did not help anyone anywhere, and again she was wrong.

Mrs. Clinton's judgment sucks giant donkey dicks, and there are people actually calling what she did in the state department..."EXPERIENCE". Well shit I'm an experienced golfer then, so lets vote me a green jacket shall we?

The other stuff you simply cannot argue...she is compromised, in multiple ways.

I don't know how any of what I'm saying is a uniquely white perspective...if it is, I really don't know what to say.

First ... Good post.

Foreign policy is going to be critical. I lean toward someone who understands it over someone who shoots from the hip ... especially if he has an itchy trigger finger, thin skin and a hot temper. Dangerous combo when it's mixed with incredible power and a lack of intellectual curiosity.

But as important as all that is, I think what he would do domestically could fundamentally change economic, social and cultural behaviors at home for the worse. And I want to vote for the "good people" he's going to surround himself with, not the guy who goes with his gut on things he knows nothing about. If these people are going to be running things, they should run for office so we can determine if we like what they are proposing. Donald being vague is dangerous because we don't know what he is capable of. I don't want to vote for Hillary, but I feel like I don't have another viable choice.

Ha! This is a riot, better even than TrumpYourCat.com. ...

Is there a cyber Cayman islands where I can hide my vbucks?

Definitely.

Just transfer them to this triple secret, secure, untraceable account:

Warren Buffett challenges Donald Trump to discuss tax returns - Aug. 1, 2016

Some notable quotes:

"I'll bring my tax return. He can bring his tax return...Just let people ask us questions about items on there," Buffett said in his introduction of Hillary Clinton at an Omaha rally. "Nobody is going to arrest us. There are no rules against showing your tax returns

"You're only afraid if you've got something to be afraid about," he said. "He's not afraid because of the IRS. He's afraid because of you."

Interesting for sure. More questions I guess...

I will say though, the mode of operation of the EPA was to scare the shit out of you, but then take significantly less in a settlement, so going from 1.8M to 600K seems extreme, but IIRC they did that fairly often.

Love your Trump analogy. I was a baseball player and I used a baseball analogy when describing Trump over the weekend. When a pitcher threw in the 90's, but grooved everything down the middle it wasn't much of a problem. It was the guys who threw hard and you had no idea where it was going that were difficult. They may have never plunked you, but you were too busy shitting your pants to even think about hitting against them. Like when Crash had "Nuke" LaLoosh uncork one at the bull while warming up between innings in Bull Durham.

Is out best option now to elect HRC and hope she gets impeached

Kind of what I'm thinking at the moment.

I mean at this point, you could make an argument for either Trump or Clinton getting impeached. So that leaves Pence (barf) and Kaine (tolerable).

Found this quiz yesterday and thought it was interesting. If you take the quiz make sure you click on the question so you know what support and object actually mean for that question. The first time I took it I got Tim Kaine at 38%, then went back and read the definition of the answer. The second time I was Joe Biden 53%.

VoteMatch Quiz

For the record, I believe this to more of a fun quiz rather than who you most associate with in the political world. These politicians probably answered these questions as they knew they should not how they actually feel.

Former Bush adviser leaves GOP over Trump

"This is a time when country has to take priority over political parties. Donald Trump cannot be elected president," Bradshaw told CNN in an e-mail interview. "As much as I don't want another four years of Obama's policies, I can't look my children in the eye and tell them I voted for Donald Trump. I can't tell them to love their neighbor and treat others the way they wanted to be treated, and then vote for Donald Trump. I won't do it."

Some interesting notes:

- My top eight were Biden, Hilldog, Warren, Bernie, Stein, Obama, Kaine and O'Malley.
- After my top 8, the majority of the remaining 17 are republicans, including 18% for Trump.
- My top three were all tied with 58%. So nobody had a high percentage in my list.
- Roseanne Barr and Donald Trump are both in my 25. Ha!
- My highest economic was for George Pataki and Jim Gilmore. Anybody got any opinions on those guys?
