I appreciate the talent, but women's gymnastics doesn't do it for me.

Women's beach volleyball had to go three sets to dispatch the Swiss.

Gymnastics, pool events,... That's summer olympics for me, the second week is pretty much completely ignored by me.... Zero interest

I'm the opposite. Pool shit is boring and the IOC refuses to schedule gymnastics in prime time. I won't watch anything on delay.

You would be, but you're a fat fvker who prob got lapped in the pool one too many times...

Track n field stuff sucks balls... Just me, but its super boring and frankly,... what the fvk do I care who was 'born with it' more...? I prefer skill competitions to talent ones,... If that makes sense...

I freakin love the pool events tho...

I was commenting that watching average joe's fall of the balance beam, flail all over the place on the vault and careen off the mat during the floor exercise would be must watch tv. Would you not enjoy watching average joe's do it?

Obviously I am not funny.

True story, when I took my swim test at Notre Dame, my long (at the time) hair completely covered my eyes and I crashed into the wall. Smacked my head pretty good.

Imagining you flailing in a pool with long hair, crashing head first into the wall, has been the highlight of my day.

That writer is a dumbass. I like how he assumes "most of the public isn't aware of the doping scandal". EVERYONE knows about it.

Don't think D'Arcy who is a female writing for ESPN W, likes being called a He.. but maybe its just me

I'm not defending dopers in any sense, but Lilly King could have handled that better. In the end, all of her actions (finger waving) amounts to zero.

It was a strong statement, but I think she's fair. These people were cheating to try and win. King proved you can win without cheating, and beat said cheaters legitimately.

I know this is a Notre Dame website but I am surprised more people aren't in discussion about these Olympics thus far. There have been a lot of headlines and stories from these Olympics. Definitely fun to watch so far.

I'm fine with it. Now that some of the athletes are speaking their minds at the event on national television, it may help reduce the cheating. Peer pressure can be a mighty tool.

Watched Phelps again last night. There are no words to describe his performance. In the 200 medley many thought the competition was too strong for him to get another gold. He destroyed the field winning by 2 seconds. Then about 35 minutes later he gets back in the pool and qualifies for the butterfly finals.

Watched men's volleyball against Brazil. Those guys bring some smoke when they serve. US pulled off the upset in four sets. Pretty intense. Highly recommend watching.

Yeah that was my bad. Didn't bother to see who wrote it, just read it and felt it was a stupid article with a bad assumption on what the general public knows. Doesn't make it any better that a female wrote it instead of a male.

Swim team kicked ass. To bad the soccer girls didn't play well. Solo (head case) needs to be gone.
