The Browns need to fire everyone and figure out a new way to spend all of these draft picks they collect.

Jaguars are having an incredible draft. Jalen Ramsey in the 1st, Myles Jack in the 2nd, Sheldon Day in the 4th. That's 3 potential impact players on D (I may be biased on Day, but I think he's going to have an impact next year). Plus, they got a DE in the 3rd rd with a ton of upside. They've gotten their offensive studs the past few years...now they're focusing on D and having a great draft. Well done Jags so far!

I really wish we had a draft synopsis page for just our guys.

A list of all the Irish players that went out for the draft, which round they went, and where they're headed.

I'm too lazy.

Ronnie Stanley 1(6) Baltimore Ravens
Will Fuller 1(21) Houston Texans
Jaylon Smith 2(34) Dallas Cowboys
Nick Martin 2(50) Houston Texans
Keivarae Russell 3(74) Kansas City Chiefs
C.J. Prosise 3(90) Seattle Seahawks
Sheldon Day 4(103) Jacksonville Jaguars

waiting for: Chris Brown, Romeo Okwara, Elijah Shumate, Amir Carlisle...anyone else?

Not projected to be drafted: Mathias Farley, Ishaq Williams, Everett Golson.

I agree, they already have a decent offense. Scored a lot of points at times last year. Need OL, but that has a lot of potential on defense, I really like it as well.

Lots of WRs going. Chris Brown has to be coming up soon on some boards you'd think.

Looking at next years roster who thinks will get drafted on our team or has a shot?
1. Kizer if gets the starting job and has a great year I could see him being a first round pick. He has NFL talent all over him especially comparing him to the two guys takening 1 and 2.
2. Corey Robinson. If he decides to play this year and puts up good numbers he could be a middle round guys 3 or 4, I have a feeling he won't pursue football though.
3. Tarean Folston. He could be a round 3 or 4 guy with another 1,000 yard year.
4. Mike Mcglinchey. First round written all over him.
5. Issac Rochel I could see him going in late second early 3rd
6. Jaron Jones. He could go as high as 2nd round but with injury concerns I think he will be a 3rd or 4th round guy
7 james onuwala I think he could be a 2nd round pick
8. Cole luke. Could be a 2nd round guy
9. Max Redfield has all the ability in the world could see him going 4th or 5th but I think he could be a WR at the next level too

I would put Hunter over Robinson as WR's go.
Excluding QB, I would say likely draft order:
1. McGlinchley
2. Cole
3. Jarron - I think he has a huge year. Great size.
4. Torii
5. Tarean - will have a big year, but RB's go low.
5. Issac- stout, but lite on pass-rushing for the NFL
6. Max- combine will help.
7. James - versatile but not a standout

PS I just realized that Big Mike is likely the only starter on the OL that won't return in 2017.

Juicy.

Matt Hegarty has an outside chance. His injury in the bowl game probably leaves him undrafted though. Was a 6-7 round pick before by many.

Let's keep this about this draft, right? At least until it's over and folks feel they've discussed it. Otherwise the convo will get carried away.

I actually think your list is realistic, with 3 exceptions. Corey Robinson runs like a 4.9, he's not getting drafted IMO. Same with Onowala, undrafted. I think Jarron Jones could go higher to be honest.

Awesome to see Keenan Reynolds get drafted. I know service academies rarely get drafted these days. Hope the Navy allows him to pursue this once in a lifetime opportunity.

He should be able to. Pats took the Navy Long Snapper (Joe Cardona) last season in the 5th, and he pretty much just shuttles back and forth from working at the Naval Prep Academy in Rhode Island to long snapping at the Pats facility. I'm sure in Baltimore they can get him something similar at a facility there.

Hopefully it works out for him but playing Slot/RB takes a little more practice and building chemistry than long snapping.

Here is something to think about, next year, when people are complaining that ND might not make the playoffs, and Kelly should be on the hot seat:

Ohio State had 5 1st round draft picks, and they didn't make the playoffs last year. That just goes to show you how hard it is to make it. All of the talent in the world isn't sufficient, by itself.

great point, Moose.
lot of things have to go your way to make the playoff much less win it all.

anyone else hearing Giants/Browns working on a deal for Joe Thomas?

might explain why Giants didn't take an OL in the draft.

The Vikings draft is killing me. Why won't they pick a damn safety. Just mind boggling.

Their 1-2 picks though might be the best in the draft.

I like the Treadwell pick and I like Mackenzie Alexander as well but I just don't see him making an impact this year unless Trae Waynes is a bust. They have Rhodes and Newman on the outside (and while Newman is old, Waynes should be the heir apparent for that spot) with Captain Munnerlyn in the slot. The safety position next to Harrison has been a turnstile of forgetable names and players (sorry Robert Blanton, Andrew Sendejo and now Griffin). Heck I would have like to see an OT picked in the first 3 rounds as I am not sold on Kalil on the left or the combination of Loadholt (returning from an injury)/Clemmings (who couldn't block a tackling dummy last year) on the right.

Bridgewater was the most pressured QB last year and they did jack shit to help him. Even traded away their 3rd pick. SMDH.

ETA: Oops Forgot that they signed Andre Smith to play RT during FA.

EETA: Kalil, Smith and Loadholt are all in the last year of their deal this coming year.

Damn, no Okwara, Brown, or Shumate. At least they're virtual locks to get signed UDFA.

Really surprised at least 2 out of 3 of them didn't get drafted. I think they will all make practice squads at a minimum.
