Demarcus Robinson was such a talent coming out of HS. Even showed some real promise as a freshman. Can't say I agree with his decision to go pro after a fairly mediocre season.

I am not sure he had much of a choice. McElwain might have pushed him out. Plus there isn't much hope for a better year next year as a WR for Florida. Who knows who will be QB for them.

So, we should have 9-11 guys getting drafted most likely depending on Jaylon/Folston?

Quick predictions below. Might be way off.

Stanley (top 10)
Jaylon (1st round--if he declares)
Fuller (1st-2nd)
Day (2nd-3rd)
Prosise (3rd-5th)
KVR (3rd-5th)
Brown (4th-6th)
Folston (4th-6th--if he declares)
Shumate (4th-6th)
Martin (5th-7th)
Okawra (5th-7th)

I personally would bump Okwara up, but he could easily fall that far.

Way off on Martin. Surprised if he gets out of 2nd round but certainly top 75 player. Folston would not get drafted. Hard to project Russell right now while healing from injury. I'd say anywhere from 2th to 4th.

I think Shumate is a better prospect than you give him credit for. He played really well this season and I think he will have a good combine. I bet the 5th is his floor. As others have mentioned, Martin will go early 4th at worst.

I am asking out of ignorance on my part. Why do you grade him that high? He always seemed to be the weak link of our O-Line. His versatility is what I think is his biggest attribute, but that doesn't warrant a second round pick.

The Buckeyes are losing a ton of players. They are going to be really inexperienced next season.

Agree completely. I noticed more bad play than good plays with Martin personally. His last name might boost his stock a bit, but I don't see him being a good pro. Hope I'm wrong.

Matt Miller has Stanley (#3), Jaylon (#14), and Fuller (#22) as first round picks as of today.

Mack and Jaylon on the same defense would be nasty!

Quick predictions below. Might be way off.

Stanley (top 10)
Jaylon (?????)
Fuller (1st-2nd)
Day (2nd-3rd)
Prosise (5th)
KVR (2rd)
Brown (6th-Undrafted)
Folston (6th-undrafted)
Shumate (4th)
Martin (3rd)
Okawra (4th-5th)

Changed with my projections, most players I'm slightly more optimistic on than you with a few exceptions. Jaylon I have no idea, from what he chooses to do to where he goes; his injury seems really severe and I'm not sure a team risks a high pick on him. Prosise goes late I think, but maybe his versatility vaults him up. Brown I see no more as a late round pick unless he posts a sub 4.5 40. Folston I think goes undrafted, unless he too blows the combine away.

Way off on Martin. Surprised if he gets out of 2nd round but certainly top 75 player. Folston would not get drafted. Hard to project Russell right now while healing from injury. I'd say anywhere from 2th to 4th.

Agree on Martin should go higher, but not top 75. Centers are rarely drafted high and he won't be the top C on the board. Agree on folston, but I think Keivare wins the combine and is a 2nd round lock.

Now onto my Eagles talk, I hope Hargreaves or Alexander fall to them but they may both be top 10 picks. If so then I probably prefer just to trade down since we don't have a 2nd. Might be nice getting Kelly out of the decision process as his last 2 picks were bust (Marcus smith olb and Algahor still early to tell for him but see USC wr in Nfl recent history).
Who are you guys hoping for for your teams?

I know the ISD guys, who know their stuff though it doesn't make them right, thought he was in-line to be sat at times this year. I can say that I didn't start paying attention to it until the Temple game, after they had spoke about it on a couple of podcasts.

As in benched or injured? I know we had a bunch of guys on the OL playing through injuries as the year went on...

They said that they thought there "could be" better options on the bench. Meaning that without seeing those other guys play they didn't know but they thought it was worth giving a shot. So, benching. It came up during the Schmidt conversations.

Martin is seen by NFL scouts as an interior OL capable of playing center and guard. BTW Martin and Ryan Kelly will be the first centers drafted.

I know Joe got most of the negativity from this board, but I thought Martin played just as poorly at times. I was not impressed with him at all. The offense was never the focus of negativity though as points were not difficult to come by.

Greg Gabriel is a 30 year NFL scout with both the Bills and Bears and he stops in from time to time on an ND premium board and gives great insight on players from a scout's perspective. He has Martin has no worse than a 3rd round pick and thinks he'll be a starter by year two. Tony Pauline who runs draft insider and has worked closely with NFL scouts for 20 years says some teams have Martin as a top 50 guy on their boards. draftscout (one of the best) has him rated as #66 player in draft. Besides his physical abilities what NFL scouts love about Martin is his leadership skills, his ability to read defenses and make correct calls for the line, his fierce competitive nature. What separates centers at the next level is usually the intangibles and Martin scores extremely high there. Smart centers are coveted by NFL teams.

BTW any suggestion that Martin could have been replaced in the lineup this past season is completely ludicrous. Never in the realm of possibilty.

Sheldon Day would be an absolute steal in the third round (IMO, of course. I'm no draft guru.)
