2016 ND Record Prediction Poll

I'm bumping my prediction UP to 10-2.

BK is a battle axe at this point, and in year 7. He knows nobody gives a shit about excuses linked to things like injuries/attrition/etc. and keeps this team marching forward.

He's a better coach IMO when the SHTF. Probably why he loves being at ND so much! In yet another "put up or shut up," and "f-ck or walk, pal" year, BK delivers.

If these players are all suspended I am downgrading my prediction to 9-3.

Fuck it, I voted for 12-0 because I don't have the heart to just hand us a loss from outset. Anything less than 10 total wins in year 7 of BK is unacceptable. I don't think that is asking too much honestly. I'm not asking for Saban levels of dominance (though I wouldn't turn that down either), but I think asking for double digit wins isn't too much after 7 years at ND.

If Redfield is playing, I'm sticking with my 12-0 prediction.
If Redfield is out, I'm changing my prediction to 14-0.

Waiting on my flight to leave Vegas - dropped some coin on ND to win more than 9.5 this season and feeling pretty good about it. 2014 did the same thing with a 7.5 o/u - we proceed to win the first six and finish 7-5. Well that trip I won at everything and came out huge ahead gambling - that was about the only bet I lost. This year I got my arse handed to me at everything so the ND pick should be pure gold.

10-2 for the Irish... 11-1 if they don't pull one of their WTF type games somewhere on the schedule.

8-4 or 9-3. We have no idea what product will hit the field with the offensive and defensive changes. BVG is a liability. And we always play down to opponents. Hopefully I'm wrong.

10-2 with 2 loses between MSU, Stanford, and USC. We miss the playoffs and lose in a new years bowl game. Sound familiar?

Me too but I think there is a stub your toe loss in there where the defense just has a bad day and they go 9-3, which aint bad, the offense should be spectacular this year-- cant wait to see the offensive show. They don't have enough defensive personnel to be a playoff caliber team. I hope I'm wrong. Also I don't think both guys will play anywhere near equal time at QB-he'll go with one guy when that guys shows its his offense.

11-1. That's a bit of green Kool-Aid talking, but not much. I'd be comfortable betting real money on that. The schedule is in ND's favor in a lot of ways; they play most of the tough teams at home. Being at USC at year's end isn't great, especially if the Irish are beat up and running thin. But USC may be in bad shape by that point too. Having 2 military teams back to back on the road is a concern too. But I don't a team on this year's schedule that the Irish can't handle all things being even.

I hate myself for typing this but I think 8-4. No proven pass rush, no proven receiving corps and a back end of of a shitty defensive system that's going to rely on almost entirely true freshmen (save for Sebastian). Add to that the fact we can't really afford to lose anyone on the LB corps and QB situation that could easily devolve into a distraction and I just don't see 10 wins as a possibility. Sadly, I think Mike Frank is rubbing off on me.

If healthy this team should win 10 games minimum. In recent years the team has started off great and declined as the year went on. Injuries obviously played a role but this year I see the opposite happening. They'll get better as the year goes on and build confidence with every W. There's a lot of guys who had to sit on the sideline as the team came within 4 points of an undefeated regular season and now how have the opportunity to achieve that with this team. Leadership and SPT can go along way between a 9-3 team and a playoff contender and our best leaders are at the most important positions in the game. QB, OL, and LB. We should also have, dare I say, one the best special teams in the country...pair that with a strong run game. 11-1, possibly undefeated. Plus we'll see more freshman making contributions than in years past. Both true freshman and gold shirts

I said the same thing and got torched with statistics and probability. Lots of good info, actually.

But probabilities and statistics are just that....what matters is what happens on the field. That is my fear.

Now that I know someone is in this boat with me, I may go back to 8-4.

If this team goes 8-4 with this schedule. The staff needs to go.

CBK cannot be deserving of the ND job being 3 games under the line. So our sandbaggers better have the sharpest pitchforks and hottest torches when we march on the Gug.

The good news... you guys are setting ND up for a win in the WGAF Pre-Christmas Bowl against the C-USA runner-up.

Every fiber in my being wants to be uber positive....But I find if I expect the worst, ND performs well.

2012 is a prime example. I never thought Golson would lead us to a title...I said 9-3.

I cried when we beat USC to clinch.

I could see 8-4 and I could see 11-1. Stanford will be tough. Michigan St is always tough. USC is always tough and they will be tested, not sure of that's good or bad for ND. Miami could be a surprise. Texas is seeking revenge on their turf. I could close my eyes and pick NDs yearly stinker and put that game at 50/50 like last years Virginia game. The very bottom floor for me is 7-5, but I could see 10-12 wins. So basically I have no freaking clue and will just say 10-2.

*edit: Last time ND had multiple arrests in one night was 2012, I say 12-0 with a win vs Clemson then losing Alabama.
