I agree kmoose, 100%! Marijuana isn't a narcotic. But law enforcement for years has (improperly in my opinion) been referring to anything illegal as an illegal narcotic. That is because of its psychoactive effect. In that it is like a whole bunch of narcotics. And the beat goes on . . .
Probably all we have here is five dumbasses in a Ford Focus with a bag of weed and a gun.

Starting to lean this way. That's twice he's put himself over the team in the past year and he's a senior.
Just completely unacceptable all the way around but if I'm picking a head to roll it's the starting senior with a history.

I texted my mother and told her what happened. She loves ND and here's what she had to say "Imagine not being able to appreciate that opportunity. Somebody else gets to shine now!!" ....my mother is a wise woman and this helps me get on with things. One selfish, sketchy starter, some solid depth....We'll live.

True. His picture is interesting. He is either truly ashamed, or he has learned the hardened criminal trick of looking at his feet for the photo. It renders a mug shot nearly worthless. Or so I have been told.

I know emotions are running high, but punching someone in the face because you're mad about sports is almost as dumb as what these guys did. The fact you called in sick is pretty dumb as well. Anyway, back to lurking.

You know, STL, I have some upset too. And as much as I would like to lay it off on the kids, (kids will be kids - and kids do some stupid things) I wonder how six kids and two incidents got so afoul of natural law? Did the coaches stand there and hand them all psychoactive substances and chainsaws as they took off for the presumably 'long' weekend.
I am waiting to find out if the coaches call a special session for all of the players at like 4:30AM; and what happens in particular to Maxi. Everyone has mentioned it; and I want to know, is he playing secret agent, packing heat and all?
Here is how my upset will turn to the coaches :
- If one of these kids (other than Max was packing the gun - Max is an upperclassman that could live outside of the dorm, not under the watchful eye.)
- If this thing boils down to less than two idiots, one with pot, and one with a gun, most not knowing about each other.
- Particularly how Max is handled, and how long it takes.
- How the rest of the team reacts to this.
- How guys like Bilal, all freshman safeties and TJ Jr., react to this.
- How many of the Focus 5 (only at ND would it be a Ford Focus) are exonerated, if any.
If it is clear that this is endemic, or known and not handled, I will have a problem with supporting ND football.
