I think we may be saying the same thing, but differently. I doubt anyone is going to give us high first round picks for guys like Jeffery, Long and Slauson. So while my "everyone has a pricetag" comment stand for them too, nobody is going to pay the price.

The current core of stars are the ones I listed. In my opinion, every one of them is tradeable. While those guys listed our the current "core" of this team. We have guys like Long, Slauson, Fuller and Bostic that can make up a new core. Plus, the guys I listed all have big contracts. Moving them would allow us to be a player in the FA market.
Well I guess this is just us having a different definition of fire sale. My definition is getting anything you can for what you're selling, because of the dumpster fire that is the Bears' immediate future. Most of that core could be gone within one year and if somebody has interest in the players worth a damn (Forte, Marshall, maybe Allen) then I see them being traded. I thought you were talking about trading every single asset for what we could get for them, which I do not condone.

Regardless! Sit back, crack open a beer or two, and let's enjoy this off season. It's gonna be a weird one.

I feel for you Bears fans to have to deal with Cutler into the forseeable future.

that guy has become unwatchable, just can't imagine having to watch him in every game with all his piss poor body language, bad attitude, and general "i could give 2 shits" aura he gives off. has to be maddening in a Bears crazy town like Chicago.

was funny watching ray lewis try and explain how much cutler was NOT a leader after one of those late season Monday night games.

Cutty wasn't even the biggest problem. The Head Coach on down refused to keep players/coaches accountable, so the team quit. They're stuck with Cutler for now, but if you remove Cutler and put McCown back in as QB, the team still would've sucked.

BK just said that he would take Winston if he had the pick and needed a qb in this years draft

Landon Collins is my realistic #1 want for the Eagles. Kid is such a stud.

All these Bama DBs seem like studs till they get to the pros....

Clinton-Dix is solid. Barron, Kirkpatrick, Milliner, Arenas all haven't done much.

Milliner getting his job taken by Walls still cracks me up.

Collins is a great college Safety, but he is not very good in coverage. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have him at ND, but his game doesn't translate very well to the NFL.

He would absolutely have a long career if he went to the Ravens/Steelers where he could play outside backer/rover.

Should be a pretty busy night then. There are still a number of big names pending. I saw Goldman from FSU declared.

How early does Mariota go?? I could see top 5 but i could see him fall further too..im not sold on him as an NFL qb. But if i was one of top few teams i couldnt trust Winston either

I don't see him being that good honestly. Maybe I'll be eating my own words in a couple years, but I just don't see it. That Oregon offense puts up stupid numbers no matter who plays QB, so any stats he has I take with a grain of salt. He pretty much has to fall to the right place to be successful IMO, and I just don't see it happening with QB-needy teams high up.

I mean what are his progression at Oregon? Get the play from the sideline (usually something very simple), then look at 2 options before tucking it away and running? He'd get killed on a talent-depleted team like the Bucs or Titans.

I hope Winston falls. I think he could be great if he had 1-2 years to be a backup and mature. He has all the tools.

I've heard a few analysts say it, but I think falling in the draft could be the best opportunity for him. Go to a team where he can develop before he has to be the guy (ala Rodgers) and that has decent talent to put around him. That said, he'll probably end up on a crap team with an uphill battle in front of him.
