Thanks Lucci. I hope we just blow soso out of the water and we stay on him. If that is the case, we can then target eSB

Anna posted Branden Bowen, Utah commit, was offered today by ND. Precautionary offer for Tillery or what? I know the Tillery deal has been beat to death but the offer seems odd.

TJ,

2-4. All depends on whom and, relatedly, their position.

The numbers will work out.

-Denbrock stopped in Louisiana to visit Shea Patterson

And Tillery?

2-4 more seems like the right number. Soso. One or two of the D Backs. Jones. Maybe someone unexpected. There'll be room. Odds are we'll have transfers/flunk outs - we always do - and I can't recall a recruiting class without a post-November flip or two. This works itself out (and not in SEC fashion).

Meh. It'll work itself out. Say Soso, Buncom, Jones all commit. But then later Marshall and Tell want in and maybe Brown flips. There is no way the staff says no to those guys. They'll figure it out. Bottom line, I'm not getting caught up in the "spots left" conversation. That, to me, is pretty fluid (not because 85 isn't a hard line, but because there are plenty of ways to get there).

Edited post #1361 Master List after recent ISD Intel.

Does anyone know who all plans to EE? I know Tillery and Coney are. I thought there were a few others, no? I'll add that info to the list as well. If any mods feel the need, maybe that post can be moved to the OP since STL isn't around and that OP isn't accurate.

Hoge and Dew-Treadway are EE's as well.

Updated OP.

Still more updating to come.

Essentially eliminated a lot of old names and added a couple new ones like Mekhi Brown and Lawrence Cager as well as Marvell Tell and Frank Buncom IV.

B!tchin. Thanks a ton for your work man! I love being in the loop. I truly wonder how much in the race we are for 5-Stars like CeCe Jefferson, Byron Cowart, Rasheem Green, and Iman Marshall???

We are missing Wimbush at QB and DB Ashton White tho.

Per Sampson, just going back about talking about Deeb and inside backer the other day. Sounds like Deeb is buried

Right now he's stuck behind Morgan, which is a bad place to be for Deeb.

Barring a change in scheme, it's going to be difficult for Deeb to crack the depth chart barring injury.

Joe Schmidt isn't going into anywhere and Nyles Morgan has been impressive in practices, per the staff.

Deeb, however, is almost never been mentioned by the staff as a player who's developing.

Interesting post from TJ.

Don't think of Jones as your classic TE, savvy. He's much more a big WR and detached TE (Outside or Slot) coming in, and likely could be more that his first couple years in a program. At least in ND's as the staff see it. Think of an Eifert detached from the LOS.

In that sense, he's "competing" for a remaining spot as much, or more, against the bigger WRs left -- ESB, Cager, Broadus, etc. It's possible only one spot from this group, including Jones, could be accommodated as things stand now. If Jones wanted to come ahead of the others named, he'd be the guy.

That's extremely interesting. Hadn't thought of Jones and ESB being the same type of player until now.

I understand that Numbers wise and they are similar players now but I really believe that having both would be beneficial as Jones could grow into a TE similar to Eifert who became complete his senior year and second ESB is similar to the Robinson which is a true WR

TJ gives a breakdown of priorities with the remaining spots

2-4 more spots as of now, and likely for good. Have to be top guys for us.

The priorities by position are:

1) RB
2) S or CB -- that preferred order assuming comparable talents
3) Pass Rusher or DL -- that preferred order depending on skill set and talent of any possible DL
4) CB or S -- best available
5) Big WR or Offensive Skill ATHL -- which depends on whom (see previous note re Jones) and, possibly, when (timing)

Most of the names remaining on the board are those widely known. Never know who else might appear depending on how things play out this season and in recruiting. And, of course, in the unexpected event we have a de-commit at a current position, especially if one of the above, then that priority moves to the top of the remaining food chain.

About that time again, redux. A lot ahead of us in November and it won't be easy, but a whole lot for which to play, too. There remains one goal at ND: [we know]

I would prefer Jones over ESB or Cager. Love that kids game but another running back has to be the biggest need in this class as it stands right now.

I agree with this. Soso and Aliz'e are my biggest wants going forward. Then another defensive back (Buncom, Ross, Tell, Marshall and most of all Fitzpatrick) and then hopefully another DE (maybe Gustin or someone I cant think of at the moment).

RB or S is a toss-up for me. We are very thin on the backend of our defense. Then a big receiver, ideally Aliz'e.

If you could finish with a Soso, Buncom, Aliz'e and a top 20 WDE, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Let me know what you think. Doing this all in history class.
