Interesting take from Mike Frank who says we could go to 22. My main takeaway looking at the numbers is that I'd be very surprised if we didn't aim for 20+, but this is one year where "misses" wouldn't hurt that much as there is a lot of quality 5th year depth you could ask back.

I think LB recruiting will end fine if not great... even without Hilliard. There are an awful lot of guys left on the board that I love. Same thing applies to WR, where we could conceivably end up with a truly stellar class. It begs the question of CJ Sanders and Guyton being takes if it means passing on one or two elite prospects. Especially since if Sanders or Guyton blows up it would mean they're both (relatively) high decommit risks because of where they're from.

I think CB, RB, and QB are the three most dodgy positions. I think these are the ones where if things don't break right you could have big misses that leave catastrophic depth questions.

Loy posted that ideally we'd take Sanders, Guyton, Ofodile, Boykin, ESB and even Newsome if he wanted in.

Good lord. No way we can convince them all to sign up. There's only one damn ball.

Didn't want to bump his thread with everyone waiting patiently for an update, so putting it here.

Holy cow, I knew Soso wanted to play hoops in college too, but he can really ball:

Bilal is visiting Thursday, visiting Northwestern on Friday, and visiting scUM on the 20th.

Plans on visiting A&M, Mizzou, Vandy, and MSU this summer as well.

Maybe the II thread?

That's pretty rad. Great idea to get this camp more exposure and build up its hype for the next few years.

Wow, kudos to ND for creating some excitement. I really like the changes that Kelly and Swarbrick are bringing to the table.

Cornell needs to be dropped to medium at least, low is more realistic.

It sounds like we are going to move on this kid if he comes to campus. TJ and the guys at II feel pretty confident that we will.

I don't think giving it a shot with Buncom by offering is a bad thing. But we are almost assuming Crawford, in great shape with John Reid and staff is high on a couple others. I'm not sure I see a spot for him.

I think John Reid said he'd decide after the season?

I'd be surprised if the staff doesn't get him to at least silent sooner than that, assuming he wants to come here.

I think thats why they've been so patient offering him. Also, think 5 DB's this cycle. Thats what TJ keeps saying. That could mean 2 S's, 2 CB's, 1 CB/S like Buncom. It could mean 2 S's and 3 CB's. Its obviously a moving projection but 5 seems to be the number.

and i admittedly forget about the point made of going up a few extra players in the class if they are the right guys. CB would be a spot where the right guy can surface as we need some folks there.
