This should probably be in McKenzie's thread(s), but I would add to this how rare it is to have a kid fight for his opportunity to join this team.

Most kids are like Elam, who when the coaches say that "they will go to bat for him" decides that he would prefer an easier route.

Couldn't agree more.

It was the record at the time. It just happens those four broke it after Nelson. Crazy to think that before this year, no one had 6'10 wingspan, and now 5 people broke it.

Hmmmmm.......Reminds me of all of the guys that supposedly can run a sub 4.4 forty then find out later they run a 4.5.

Keep it up Sam. I love my linemen with a nasty streak.

I was just half assed kidding to stir the pot.

I will say that I think Yeargin ends up at Clemson and IF Luatua gets one of his coveted Los Angeles offers.... he gone.

Army, Under Armour,and Semper Fi

Probably should change the thread name to All Star Games (though I think there actually was one of those already)

Also looks like they were assigned their seat (name tags). could just be that the others were assigned a different seat. Hell maybe they aren't even there to be in the picture.

Luatua was probably just up getting more food, am I rite Kuehnja?

Yeah, he's stuck in the buffet line. He wanted a hamburger, but his friends wanted hot dogs. Sadly, there were no hot dogs left for him and he's not sure if they will be making more. So he's interested in seeing if more hot dogs become available later, because he wants to be "cool "like his friends and eat a wiener.

not just any wiener, only the most defined and god like wiener. Other wieners can be underwhelming, but this wiener, this wiener had to be the best meat ever

“@GregBiggins: Early DB impressions, really like S Payton Hendrix, rangy and smooth and Jon Lockett closes better than anyone #SemperFiBowl”

“@Perroni247: #TexasTech got a steal in S Payton Hendrix. Not sure why more in-state schools weren't on him #SemperFiBowl”

Egg on face on National Signing Day is my prediction, but again, the staff is closer to the real situation than we'll ever be.

Pleasant surprise

Sam Mustipher (Olney, Md./Good Counsel): Mustipher was a player about whom we had some questions coming into the Under Armour All-America week. He possesses good ability, but in evaluations he had demonstrated some struggles in pass protection. Displaying good initial quickness and lateral mobility he has the tools to be an effective pass blocker at OG, but at times didn’t bend at the knees, would lunge and not move his feet. In this setting with the talented linemen he would consistently face, we felt Mustipher could have a rough experience. To his credit, though, the four-star has performed well and been a pleasant surprise. He has won his share of battles in one-on-ones, doing a nice job of playing with better pad level, moving his feet and sliding with rushers once locked on. Mustipher may not be among the top OL in attendance, but he certainly came to compete and proved he deserved to be here.
