Realistic final stretch:
Williams
Hendrix
Sykes
Hill
Luatua
Quick
Nelson

Using the 247 Class Calculator the Realistic Class Rating would be 269.11. That would have been the 9th best class in 2012 and 2013.

Optimistic:
Williams
Hendrix
Morgan
Hill
Luatua
Quick
McKenzie

The Optimistic Class Rating would be 275.52. That would have been the 7th best class in 2012 and 8th best in 2013.

Dream:
Williams
Hendrix
Holley
Morgan
Hill
Luatua
Quick
McKenzie
Juju

The Dream Class Rating would be 289.12. That would have been the 3rd best in 2012 and 5th (where we were with a rating of 284.75) in 2013.

No. I went with the base class as of today. If you take him out of the class the rating drops from 248.68 to 244.31. I'm not sure if his value stays consistent throughout but it seems like you subtract 4.37 from any rating if you want to know what it is without him

Don't know if anyone saw TP's prediction for the end of this class. Said we get McKenzie, Quick, Luatua, Sykes, Hendrix, and JuJu. Personally I think we get one of Holley or Elam but that is just me. Was kind of surprised that Morgan wasn't in the prediction, but think we have a good shot there. Other then that I would probably agree.

I think we get Luatua, Morgan, Sykes, and Hendrix. I think Quick is a coin flip, but he seems pretty close to LJ Moore so I have a feeling that might tip the scale.

Wiltfong is hearing the Irish are trying for 25 but it could go up to 27. Luatua will be Irish by the end of the month. ND is the team to beat for Morgan. ND's chances are getting him are trending. He thinks Hendrix will end up Irish. Watkins is in his ear about ND. Hendrix will visit Arkansas. Charles Nelson could commit this weekend. ND has impressed him. ND could take one of Niles Sykes and Kolin Hill. Denbrock has been recruiting JuJu and Quick. ND will be in it until the end. Thinks ND could land both. Kelly will visit both of them near the end of January. Visit couldnt have gone better for Schultz. Schultz enjoyed and wished he could have been there longer. Stanford still leads. In-home visits can make up ground with Stanford. He thinks ND could rekindle the magic with Braden Smith when he visits in January. TCU is leading for him. Steve thinks if Saban bolts for Texas, Elam likes ND chances and he would wait on UK chances. Solomon Thomas tried to schedule an official visit later this month but it would be during the dead period week. ND wants him to visit in January. ND still remains in the Andrew Williams mix and remain for an official visit in January.

So we are likely to get:
Luatua
Morgan
Hendrix
Nelson
Either Sykes or Hill, possibly both

We'll be in it till the end with:
Juju
Quick

But we could land any of a number of other guys as well:
--We CRUSHED it with Schultz this weekend. Still trail Stanford but Steve says we gave him a lot to think about.
--We are battling for Braden Smith and Elam, but don't lead for either
--Still trying to get Solomon Thomas back for an OV
--Booker won't give up on Andrew Williams and we are still battling for a January OV

And that's the 2014 board. Aiming for 25, could take up to 27.

Thanks for the updates and the frenzy that comes with this one.

Anyone know what Kerry Cooks tweet means tonight. Something to the effect of "ND nation will go nuts when the pot o gold lands."

Thomas was my guess. Hendrix would be a nice get, but Thomas is by far the biggest recruit out this way.

Reliable poster on another site is indicating Thomas is not likely to gain admissions to Stanford which would really open things up.

No shit? Could be a Troy Niklas round 2..... no Stanford admission + late OV = steal of a highly coveted national prospect.

At a certain point ND won't have room... Even if they all wanted on board...

Pardon my ignorance but what makes getting accepted in to Stanford more difficult than ND?

Happy to hear that Watkins is pushing ND.

Luatua, Morgan, Sykes, Nelson alone is fantastic.

If Nelson replaces McKenzie in this scenario we would be at 23, leaving 2-4 spots.

Out of the remaining guys listed in the update here is my wish list for those spots.

1. Solomon Thomas
2. Quick
3. Elam
4. JuJu

We would definitely go to 27 if it was those 4. No way coaches could turn it down.

More likely finish, IMO, for the final 2-4

1. Hendrix
2. Elam
3. Quick
4. Hill

I think JuJu is all USC. Andrew Williams stays south. Thomas is interesting if he truly can't get into Stanford. Can't remember off top of my head who his final group was but have to think ND and Texas would be two likely landing spots. Just seems like too much for us to over come. Would LOVE for Thomas or Elam or both to fall in our lap. What a gift of talent the DL would get next year. Elam, Thomas, Blankenship, Bonner, Dickerson, Hayes, Trumbetti...Good Lawd!

But as I stated above a combo of Luatua, Morgan, Sykes to our current class is kickass alone.

If Saban lands at UT, will that change things with Nick Watkins?

I won't claim to know for sure, but I doubt it. Watkins sounds as solid as they come, right now. He's telling uncommitted 2015 recruits how great ND is, etc.
