While we are throwing out names we wish ND looked at, remember the name RaymondWingo, swear to god he is a lockdown CB and super underrated by the services even though he has a decent offer list (B1G as high as MSU and SEC as high as Tennessee)

That's weird the initials of his High School are SLUH and he's from St. Louis. Damn where have I heard that before?

Couldn't tell ya

Haha I watched Raymond's highlights when you PMed them to me a while back. I remember he looked a little undersized but he could absolutley fly and was a ball hawk on defense. If I remember correctly he played a little QB to. I think we have a spot for him.

Hahaha yep QB/RB/WR/CB/KR, doesn't have his brothers size but fast as ****. He hates playing QB though, all of his offers are for Cornerback and Kick Return.

You know where he's leaning to?

Arkansas like his brother if he had to commit today but he wants more mid to high level SEC offers bad. He's camping at Bama like right now and I think a Auburn offer is contingent upon a visit. Iowa really wants him to, they recruit St. Louis real well and real hard. Dad turned down a scholly to MSU back in the day.

As for who's next... anyone think West on the 20th? Seems to be a lot of momentum in that direction and I don't really know what other offers he could be waiting on besides maybe Michigan/Ohio State. He clearly wants to make a decision sooner rather than later as he was supposedly about to commit to Kentucky a couple weeks ago before cancelling the press conference.

If his offer is committable, I think he could definitely pop for ND if we put the press on.

was actually surprised to hear that Kentucky led for him a few weeks back, I was under the assumption that Michigan state led when they recently offered.

a good visit on the 20th could seal the deal.

only thing that worries me about him is that he plays at the lowest level of competition in ohio and would have really benefitted from playing for the public school rather than the catholic school, being how the public school plays in a very competitive big school league. his track schedule I think has kept him from being able to make to all the camps he could go to, but at the same time he has received good reviews from the camps he has gone to. he is the best athlete on the field every week and I think there will be an adjustment period for him at the next level, but we seem to have quality depth at DB, which would give him ample opportunity to be coached up and learn the scheme

Kentucky is recruiting him as a safety and not a DB. I don't know if that will matter to him or not. Still, with bigger schools showing interest I think he may wait for a while. Maybe the summer camp season will show his true skills against better competition. Then again, these are 18-19 year old guys so who really knows what they are thinking.

I could definitely see that happening. I listed Holmes, Luatua, and Dawkins in the other thread, but I kinda forgot about West.

The other possibility I could see is Kizez if he gets an offer in the next few days. He's interested in ND and O$U (like Zaire was). He's an Ohio guy (like Zaire). If he gets the offer, visits, and really likes ND (like Zaire did) I could see him pop. But not as likely as Holmes, Luatua, Dawkins, or West.

I'm not sure about Holmes/Luatua. Both want to take OVs.

I know Whiskey had a post (or maybe it was yours Lax) about how do we distinguish the kids/families like the Anzalone's and Vanderdoes'.

Isn't the situation you have outlined above seem like somewhat of a red flag?

When I say that it isn't my impression of the kid or his family as I know neither. That said, if a kid almost commits, postpones, yet still wants to get a commitment over with. Shouldn't that make you take a step back and dig a little deeper. Rushed decisions usually don't tend out to be "the right decision."

However, if he commits on the 20th, that isn't to say he hasn't sat down and really thought it through either.

I know the other side of it is take his commitment and do everything you can to hold on from then on as it is better than NOT having his commitment.

“@jcshurburtt: With Mason Rudolph heading to #OKState you have to think Cornwell to #Bama and Park to #Hokies” and LSU could turn up the heat on Kizer

Holmes has visited several times. I just think that increases the probability that he commits. Maybe this next trip is the one where he finally feels settled.

Luatua stated he'd be committed if it weren't for his parents pushing for OVs. Kyle Allen wanted to take more visits, but committed to aTm out of the blue. Luatua could do something like that.

These 2 committing may not be the most likely, but not out of the realm of possibility.

VT board has been expecting Park to commit for a couple days

Hoping to have a more focused list with a little 2-3 sentence blurb done by tommorow for example QB will have only Park, Dawkins and Kizer; RB only Hood, Starks, Mixon and maybe Scott.

I copied the current version into the first post and will make a couple small adjustments and additions to that as well

There's what I got so far, more work than I expected. Will definitely be complete by The Rivals100 Challenge coming up.

Laid down the framework for the defensive side and should get it filled in tomorrow, it seems the staff wants a CB a CB/S and a true safety only if its Juju Smith so I just did defensive backs since there isn't that many names right now

since all the names are up feel free to let me know if you think a name should be added/subtracted from the main column or the other names column

Did you consider adding Piersbacher on the list of OL? He might OV to ND. I'd say we have about as good of a shot with him as Tucker.

I don't think the staff want's another limited OG type like him after getting 2 pure inside guys in Mustipher and Byrne,. Mama is a bit different because he could also double as a beast of a NG if that's what was best.

I remember Piersbacher mentioning last year and this year OL commits as reason he chose Iowa over us (I think I remember that right). IMO, the only team that could veer him from the hawkeyes is Bama.
