Every year people transfer, take medical permanent leave,flunk out etc. And it seams like ND always 3-4 short on signing day. I say sign 2-3 extra. Otherwise will be short.

Just read that not only did all remaining targets and recent commits get the 477-draft-picks Pot of Gold, but all of the earlier commits in the 2014 class got a Pot of Gold of 127 letters, one for each year ND has been playing football.

Thought that was worth posting in case others have been wondering, as I have, whether the previous commits were jealous of the recent commits' Pots of Gold, haha.

Thanks for the insight guys. Makes perfect sense and after thinking about it, I agree. Besides, the staff clearly knows more about each of these situations than I so I shouldn't allow myself to get worked up about it.

Don't know if anyone saw the Pot of Gold article by 247. Says the 11 players were Luatua, Hill, Sykes, Quick, JuJu, Solomon Thomas, Williams, Nelson, Shultz, Morgan, and Elam. In the article it said Juju already received his, surprised that we haven't had an update about that yet.

It seems like each year after this dead period, a name or two pop up that weren't on the radar. I'm anxious to see who that is.

Morgan is a must get and it looks likely.

One of Quick, Nelson, Brown, or Lazard. Hopefully Quick.

Lastly, the wildcard. Any guesses? Realistic players you'd like to see ND make a run at?

So, back to the master list:
Are we basically looking at Nyles Morgan, outside shots at JuJu, Quick and Braden Smith and hoping against hope for McKenzie? Is that it?

Charles Nelson, too.

There is a name or two to keep an eye on as we get closer to NSD.

Keep an eye on LA CB Terrance Alexander. He is basically just starting his recruitment right now and the staff is really high on him. Mods / analysts on certain sites also love him, particularly Coach D on ISD and TJ on II (two guys whose opinion I really care about).

I would LOVE to add him to the class. If we wind up with just him and Morgan to close out the class, I would be very happy despite the 'misses' on the other guys.

A little OT, but with the season over its nice to have TJ back on the II board. I agree that would be a finish I would be happy with.

With Al Golden possibly heading to PSU and Braden Smith bring a long shot, do you think ND could move in on KC McDermott? If I remember correctly we were in his top two/three, right?

What at are you talking about...you post a ton! I hope if the door is even open a crack we go after the two of them hard.

Its worth exploring but I think his brother being a Hurricane will hold him down there.
