Hate to be this guy but does anyone forecast a Tee Shepherd type situation in the coming months with this class?

I think this class is tight...and they will get tighter in the coming months. The only one I could see getting jumpy is Folston but I don't think so.

Tom Lemming gave a short summary of each committ for 247, some noteworthy stuff he thinks:

- Greg Bryant is our #1 commit, highest chance to see PT as a freshman
- Not as high as many others on Redfield
- James Onwualu is our best WR, "poor man's Michael Floyd"
- Elmer is one of the best OL in the country, future NFL RT
- McGlinchey has the potential to be our best tackle in 20+ years
- Kinlaw may have the highest upside of all our commits

Tom Lemming is as about as crediable as the lamp sitting next to me. James is a nice player but no where near what Floyd was.
How are you not high on Max Redfield? What's there not to like?
Greg Bryant is a great player imo I like Folston better.
Agree with Elmer
Very much agree with McGlinchey wish there was more film on him.
Kinlaw imo is big time or bust potential.

by the way sorry I didn't keep up with this list as best as I could. I know Sluh will do a better job than me for this class as much as it will **** off Jason for whatever reason.

I read somewhere else the other day (forget where) that McGlinchey actually has the highest ceiling of the OL commits and could be the real sleeper in that group.

And yeah, how you're not high on Redfield is beyond me. I think of all incoming recruits, EV, Jaylon, Redfield, and Folston are the most likely to see playing time. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see GB get PT either.

Yes I agree with what you said. McGlinchey has a huge ceiling and I guess his feet are what really separates him. I think we will see a lot of backs play for us next year. We are finally deep at that position but not really a proven guy. Greg Bryant will play but I still like Amir will start. I am very, very high on Amir.

Amir not really lifting / practicing for a year concerns me. He was really skinny to begin with. Hopefully he is hitting the weights hard now.

Who do you believe will be the lead back next year? It's not like George is a big guy either weight wise

George is much bigger than Amir, he just doesn't have the lateral movement or ball skills an every down back needs in our offense. I don't think we are going to have a 'lead' back to start the season honestly - I think a bunch of guys are going to get carries and try to separate themselves from the pack.

I think Amir could be very good in an 'early career Theo' type role, but again I think he really needs to add weight and fully recover. GAIII will continue doing what he did last year, and perhaps he will continue to expand on it. I am not holding my breathe, but I am hopeful. I think Cam is probably our best actual RB for the type of offense we run, and Mahone could be very good in a Jonas type role.

Obviously Greg Bryant is the best of the bunch, and it will fun to see him come in and compete for carries. I think if anyone on our team becomes a 'lead back' this fall, it could be him by the middle - end of the year, but with the depth we have and no one entrenched I don't see an early 'lead back'.

I think that was a huge selling point for Bryant. Is that he has a chance to be the bell cow at some point next season. Not saying he will but like you said of all the backs on the team he has the best skill set to do so.

All freshman that were "expected" to show up have showed up. I believe that would mean everyone expect Redfield, who graduates June 19th per Sampson.

Bivin and Deeb were apparently the most impressive physically.

Haha. Anzalone is blowing that thread up. Then one guy posted this:

I don't think Anzalone counts as a bust when his own team's fans generally think he sucks *shrug*

It's a shame. He'd have been a GREAT ILB in Diaco's system, with his combo of size, agility, range and coverage ability. Not sure he'll have the same success at Florida.

Especially if he's an H-back or whatever instead of a LB.

Anzalone never stood out on film to me. He just had good measureables and got rated high, early.

To play devil's advocate here, 247 gave him his 5th star because of his performance at the Under Armour AA Game. So with all that talent around he shined. Which, I also thought he looked great at. With that said not a fan of his character and good riddance!

Shane Morris was mentioned quite a bit as well, and that is my pick personally. The guy never should have been a 5*. Unless Michigan keeps missing at QB, I doubt Shane Morris starts an entire year as a Wolverine.
