I'm not sure if women or men are generally considered more invested in a team on a whole, but is there anyone more invested in Arky than LizHoney?

Did anyone else find this absolutely sex-bang as hell? I have a major urge to go out and find a pig just like this one . . .

I saw it on reddit and laughed and laughed and laughed. I don't know how long, but it was awhile before I stopped watching. I said to myself, "I should make this my sig on IE. They'll all get a great chuckle." Working as intended.

Finally got my whole family to look at IE! We are all cracking up over this.

That's interesting. In my experience women are notorious for this -- becoming HUGE fans of a team, in the sense that they get emotionally wrapped up in its fortunes, without actually knowing much about the team. Sometimes I wonder if some people like this, men and women, really care about the team at all or if they just like the idea of having a team to care about.

And I suppose there's nothing wrong with it either way. That we follow recruiting and she doesn't ... does it mean that we are "bigger" fans than that woman? I don't think it means that we like ND football more, get more excited when ND wins or more upset when it loses. It just means that we find a different aspect of ND football interesting ... we are interested in the process in addition to the on-field final product.

Or, on the other hand, maybe it means that we ARE bigger fans, in the sense that we hunger for something to do with ND football even in the off-season, whereas she is able to put it out of her mind when the games aren't actually happening.

I wonder about this sometimes because I find some people seem kind of offended by my recruiting knowledge, as if they they are insulted by some tacit implication that I'm a bigger fan than they are. That always annoys me. Sometimes I wanna say to these people, I'm not judging you. You follow ND in your way and I'll do it in mine. It's all good.

I think in general women do not care as much about football as men but of course there is always the exception. My wife loves ND football. In fact, she is the reason I am a huge fan. She is from South Bend but moved down to Texas when she was 11. She follows recruiting but doesn't typically get on message boards to talk about recruits or even ND football. She lurks over my shoulder sometimes when I am on here and when the Blue&Gold Illustrated arrives, she grabs it and reads it cover to cover before I get a chance. And she has a friend who does read all the message boards and pay sites and follows recruiting very closely. I would say my wife probably could spout off a bunch of stats from last season that I can't even remember. When ND loses, she is in a p*ss poor mood. Nobody wants to be around her!

Re: fans and IE member issues.I just went to a car dealership and when waiting for the paperwork to be completed a few of the sales guys came up and commented on my son's ND T-shirt, stating they were the "biggest" ND football fans. My reply was asking them if they knew the latest recruit from TX (Blankenship had just committed)-none did.

I also have 3 brothers, all hardcore ND fans-they know my ND FB knowledge is far above theirs. IE members are ultra-fans who also have too much time on their hands.

Listening to the interview now. So far here's what we got.

Kelly feels like he can do hurry up just as fast or faster with Tommy because of his experience.

Tommy has gained weight and can bench 225 10 times. Also looks a little quicker.

Said he's not against using Hendrix along with Tommy but I wouldn't read to much into that.

Redfield, Luke, Folston, and Bryant have looked outstanding in workouts.

Nick Martin ahead of Matt Hegarty at Center.

Hanratty ahead at RG.

Said both Elmer and Stanley are ready to play.

Feels really good overall about OL

"We're gonna let him just run around, Maybe he's a RB, maybe he's a Inside LB, maybe he's your starting Drop. We are at this position with a lot of players right now where they are so athletic that we gotta let them play".

Louis Nix is in the best shape of his life.

Kona Schwenke will be backup Nose

Springmann and Jarron Jones will rotate in at 3-4 End

Kelly says he talks to Golson once a week and Golson talks to Martin 2-3 times a week. They have a plan in place of working out and throwing and he fully expects Everett to be back in January.

glad to see Springmann being mentoined as a DE rather than a NT. Better chance for him to make plays there

was the question leading to this just about skill players?

All four have a chance to impact immediately and should be special players in their Irish careers.
