I am NOT liking what we're getting vis-a-vis O-Line attrition. If there is nothing really wrong with Watt, then we will still be alright. ZMart// Watt// Cave// Golic or NMart// Lombard; with Hegarty// Hanratty// the other of Golic or NMart// and Stanley. The only other playable scholarship holders on the roster would be Heggie and Harrell.

IF Watt's "difficulty" actually even exists AND would be debilitating for at least a few games, then Golic and NMart both start, and, if you're trying to preserve freshman eligibility, the only non-frosh you have left are Heggie and Hanratty. We may get to see the long awaited appearance of Bruce on the field afterall.

P.S. this situation is one which I would respectfully suggest for certain IE posters to keep in mind when they b!tch during recruiting season that we need to take fancy offensive guys rather than "another" lineman. Fortunately IE opinion improved this cycle after we nearly whiffed on O-Line [two is a near whiff] last cycle, but after this fearsome 2013 fivesome I expect some to say we don't really need many O-Line commits in 2014. WRONG!!

Irish Cedar: Those sites are for people who cannot afford or are too cheap to spend $10 per month. Unless you like hanging out with those kinds of people, then I'd advise staying away.

I have a paid subscription with Scout, and ESPN which are IMO a total waste of money, and also Rivals which is much better, but none can even come close to the insight, and intelligent discourse over a diverse range of subjects as one will find here. From the mods on down to the Bogs this site is the finest site I have found for Notre Dame football and beyond. Anyone saying otherwise is simply wrong.

So I am unwilling to spend money to talk about Notre Dame football therefore I am not a good person to hang out with.... Interesting. I'll put that $10 a month in my kid's college account instead.

EDIT: And because I'm bored I calculated that would be $3,708.68 over 18 years at a 6% annual return. Not bad.

I subscribe to 247, but I've never posted there once. It is, without a doubt, one of the most embarrassing message boards I've ever seen - pay or otherwise. Sapp and the rest of the guys that work there are fantastic; I actually feel bad for them that part of their job is to roll around in the slop on the message boards.

Every board will have its seedy underbelly of posters. IE is no different, but the best posters here (of which I would say there are dozens) are so much better than what you get on most other boards that I have read. The 247 board is all seedy underbelly and almost no quality posts (except for a couple of the guys there that I recognize from here).

The post that prompted their reaction was a stupid post. It deserves to be criticized (and it was here, too). But it also wasn't from one of the main contributors here. I wouldn't sweat their criticism.

And thanks for bringing up 247's board. I've been looking for a place to vent about that.

It's because we do a good job of policing each other and kneeing each other in the stomach if that poster is running away with attention over information.

I'm very high on Badger. Looking back at his HS video, you can see he is just a hawk out there. Definitely needs to bulk up some but I think he is gonna be very valuable.
