Yeah, I saw Cam working with the RB's in the latest video. I like him as RB. I hope he gets some carries

i prefer to have as many options at DB since we have no real proven ones back there..but the coaches know best

Cam McDaniel has moved back to running back. Russell, Barrati, Jalen Brown, and Mathias Farley have all looked really good and are poised to all be solid back ups.

Weird. I wasn't expecting that, after coach Kelly said he was looking good at CB.

Baratti at CB? I know he's fast but this surprises me.

I think the secondary in general not just corner. This is good news. To me it means that Jackson and Wood are the clear starters, and brown and Atkinson are the clear back ups. If any of those four go down there are plenty of bodies capable of producing

i always have a puzzled look on my face after reading ur posts

Make sure your monitor button has a green light on it.

Why is that?

You don't understand the sackcloth and ashes interview comment?

In the old days penance was a big thing, before postmodern arrogance. In those days people went out of their way to do penance, noting their view that all of mankind was imperfect and destine to live in a state of sin, without divine intervention. So some wore sackcloth undergarments, which were shirts and pants made of something like horse or camel hair woven. As you may imagine, it was quite uncomfortable. To add to it, many horse hair wearers would smear themselves with something, to make themselves even more uncomfortable, and less visually appealing. I don't want to get into the options available, but ashes were one, nor should we address where the ashes came from. Therefore sackcloth and ashes, denotes the penitent attitude both Tommy and Carlo, but more Carlo, had during what I saw of their media encounters.

In fact I was most impressed with Carlo, A) he had a really emotional welling up during the interview; and, B) he never reached out and smacked down the uncouth interviewers, with their illconstructed questions.

Another big thing about the Class of '12 is that it will be a KILLER SPECIAL TEAMS CLASS!

I agree with this. Plus Shumate and Russell add extra depth at corner.

Also, I hope it means that they expect some output from Cam, particularly at the hybrid position. He proved he has hands and can break on the ball. I really like this kid and he is way up on his "quicks."

Surprised by Cam moving back. Didn't think it would happen. Whoever said that the other day and I said it wouldn't happen speak up and I will give you some reps.

IrishIllustrated.com - Video: Meet the freshman

interviews with Ferguson, Okwara, Brown, Russell, Badger & Neal

This was the first time I've really had the opportunity to hear an interview with Neal. I must say he handled the questions very well and gave all the right answers. With the situation regarding his commitment, I'll admit that I didn't visualize him in that positive of a light if for nothing else from lack of information on the situation. But after seeing and hearing him speak, I think he's on his way to a great future at ND and becoming a solid young man.

Also, great smiles from Brown and Russell, those 2 just seem like they love life and are full of energy and intelligence. What fine young gentlemen these guys are!

I drove by the first practice today. I didn't see much, I could just see throught the little slots in the fence. But what I could hear is that practice was live! The players were going at it, it was just so cool to hear!

I love what Chris Brown is doing in practice, defense is looking great as expected, and it looks to me Golson is starting to separate himslef from Hendrix. But this is just a 2 minute video of course

Manti looks great! Losing 10 lbs seems to have really suited him. He looks much quicker defending the pass which was in my opinion his only weakness.

The defense does look great.

Go Golson! Hendrix did thread one in there didn't he.

Chris Brown better play. The team did look good, and our defense is intimidating.

I think Golson looked really good. He looked goof throwing it and we saw him get 7-10 yards on scramble.

Also, I think I am more excited about Chris Brown if I had to pick from the 3 freshmen receivers. He is just so fast and we all saw that he will go up and get the ball

I think we looked good in the short glimpse we get. I am very cautiously optimistic because the DBs as I already stated did not look too hot and yes the WR looked good but is that because the DB's made em look good. Thats my only concern. I think the QB situation will be fine and I think are front 7 are as good as any front 7 in the country!

Very smooth move and a great one handed catch by Eifert at the 1:15 mark. Teams are going to have to double team him, which should really open up the running game and/or the deep routes. Loving what I saw on that tape from Chris Brown.
