Cant wait to say "I told you so" to Henning, JJ, and McGregor when they are playing for a different head coach than the one they committed to.

Ugh...what’s up with this hot streak Michigan is on? Hope they finish the season at 8-4 or worse and Harbough is on the burning fire seat.

They're certainly going to get a share of what's out there, it's just how it works but perspective is important. And that's why the meltdown other boards have had recently is hilarious. With this "hot streak" Michigan is on they now have 17 commits. They have none in the top 50. 2 top 100. and 3 top 200. Avg player rating is .8969. good for a team rank of 9th.

ND has a class of 15 commits. 2 top 50. 4 top 100. 8 top 200. Avg. player rating of .91, which is good for 5th nationally. And that includes a LS who they give a rating to of .77, lol.

Michigan sucks!

Disappointed. I thought he wanted to go to ND.

Apparently, I was wrong. He did not want to go to ND. That's fine, no sour grapes and we move on to those that love The Irish.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Bingo. AJ Henning is their highest ranked recruit with Braiden right behind him in the composite. They would be ranked 5th and 6th respectively in our class. We’re doing perfectly fine on the trail. Lots of momentum for ND football. Go Irish!

Good comparison. Losing a kid to scUM doen't mean it's the end of the world. Besides, we had a pretty good idea he wasn't coming to SB.

Michigan has 20 commits now is has the fifth ranked class. The LB from Ma and RB from Baltimore were good pickups for them. They may not have any top 50 prospects, but there 2020 class is similar makeup as ND’s 2019 class. Michigan has put together a good 2020 class no matter how you look at it.

Now I hope Notre Dame beats them down at their house this year and Michigan finishes the season at 8-4 losing all the games they face verse quality opponents.

Never said it was bad but is it noteworthy? Hardly. It’s really just the quantity. They have the 11th best avg player rating but 20 commits. Is a top 10-15 finish good? Of course. Is it somehow surprising? Not at all. That’s basically the floor of expectations, right? ND finishes in the 10-15, it’s good but I doubt UM boards are talking about it.

If they had 20 commits with a 92+ rating, well then let’s talk about. Until then, meh.

Michigan's class isn't bad... but they are feasting off the scraps of their biggest rivals. Plain and simple.

With Michigan’s resources, facilities, academics, and that Jordan Brand. It’s disappointing when they’re not in the top 10 in recruiting. As for ND’s class, I think they’d genuinely only take 3-4 of the Michigan commits right now. I know they only wanted and recruited hard 3 of them (McGregor, Henning and Morant), but Morant they didn’t do much with and Henning a lot of people had soured in after his hip surgery. Michigan would happily take at least half of ND’s class if they could. I’d take ND’s class over their’s any day of the week.

And isn't the rumor that McGregor chose not (or possibly wouldn't have been able) to attain ND's requirments for EE admission? Or did this apply to stipulations for him gettinng in as a summer enrollee?

Fair amount of truth to this. Henning and McGregor are their top two rated guys on 247 Sports. They'd be 5 and 6 in ND's class I believe.

I would also entertain the assumption that if they have a good season and guys further up their board want into the class, they'll drop some of these verbals they currently have. It's classic Harbaugh. This is year five in Ann Arbor and he has to produce something. The pressure is already mounting, and they're not the most patient bunch up there. They're certainly arrogant enough to start clamoring for a change if he doesn't produce at least a Big Ten Title soon.

Not sure who they would line up to replace him if they do decide to can him, but that's another story.

I still don't understand why some ND fans get bent when an offered prospect from IL or IN goes somewhere else. It's such a national program in an already national recruiting landscape. You're also talking second tier states as it relates to HS football talent.

For the state of Indiana in general it doesn't compare to TX, GA, FL, OH, but the MIC conference (Indy area) has been rated one of the top HS conferences for a number of years Three or four years ago it was rated the best in the country. It usually produces multiple D1 talent every year.

That's what I'm saying. Top to bottom, as a whole, the state is second tier at best compared to the others you mentioned. Surely there are pockets in IL and IN that are better than certain spots in the top tier states. Go after the best players regardless of where they live.

You fish where the fish are. IL, IN, NC, AZ, wherever. For the fan base, it shouldn't matter where the players come from. It isn't the 1950s anymore where ND had to go to Catholic schools in the Midwest to find players. They're everywhere.

I still see hand wringing on multiple ND message boards when a kid from IL gets an offer from ND and signs elsewhere. So what? I don't see anyone waiting for Kyle Prater's ceremony in Canton, OH

Didn't everyone's nads go on fire because he was friendly on social media with Mills? Like it was some kind of packaged deal or something?

I always felt like there was way more smoke than fire there to begin with.

Henning and McGregor are nice players, but in the end, it's never as tremendous of a "loss" as we sometimes make it out to be. You can't miss something you never have in the first place.

I won't lie, I really wanted Henning and McGregor to wear the blue & gold.

ND seemed to be recruiting both players since their sophomore year, besides this being a simple case of a game called recruiting, I really wonder what happened with these 2?

Good for Harbaugh for winning on the recruiting trail, he is 2-8 vs OSU and MSU...if he's 2-10 vs those 2 teams after this year, hope to God that Henning & McGregor didn't commit to a coach.

Enjoy that "speed in space" offense and an immanent head coaching change, lol.
