Sam Hartman is going to make Reice regret his decision to leave
Maybe because there's a lot of question marks in Alabama's QB room, but otherwise he's got way more weapons to work with in Tuscaloosa.
Parker is setup right now better than any ND OC has been in some time, and that's thanks to Rees and Freeman. It's going to take a colossal fuck up to not be successful with this offensive roster.

I really was just looking for an excuse to spell his name wrong

We do not have Joe burrow or lsu wr skill, but I expect our D to be better than 2019 lsu
Really? I’d be shocked. They had a bunch of high end talent on that team including six guys drafted in the fist 4 rounds, including two in the 1st and two in the 2nd. Who on our defense is on that level? Morrison eventually? Hope you’re right.

They definitely had talent but were inconsistent. Im sure they gave up over 20ppg. I don’t expect our D to be that much better than lsu, hopefully more consistent since we have a good bit of experience and talent … not a ton of first round talent but draftable talent. The offense was just one of the best ever

He does seem all business. I’ll take one year with Sam over two potential years of Buchner

I have this dream where Hartman kills it, gets invited to NY, becomes a mid 1st rounder, and ND becomes the de facto place that great QBs on mediocre teams come to play football. This continues until either Carr or Minchey are ready to roll.

I got my metal plate and screws that held my leg together in a sandwich bag somewhere in my parents basement.

Having a bone would be wayyy cooler.

Where is Hartman as a runner of the ball? I am guessing better than crap (Coan & Pyne) but not as good as excellent (Buchner/Book/Wimbush). Which of those two group is he closer to though?

I think he’s a little less athletic than book but better at reading/faking the mesh than any at nd. He has a lot of easy walk in tds at wake. Had one in the spring game here too

Usually, the dude who runs the hardware section at Sears is faster than he looks at first glance.

Any of you degenerates know what Wake Forest game I should watch to see Hartman play excellently?

I enjoyed how he carved up Clemson. Meant more seeing him do it against one of our top 3 opponents.
Yep - this is the one to watch. He saw a weakness in that Clemson defense and relentlessly attacked that poor freshman CB.

Torian Pride, yeah it was pretty comical at one point Sam threw three back shoulder catches to receivers Pride was covering all for completions and then a TD

That Clemson game was a master class. If you watch that game and compare it with NC State and Louisville, the consistent trend is he was always under relentless pressure. Idk if ND's receivers are quite as good as Wake's last year, but it shouldn't matter as he will have a run game and all the time in the world (compared to what he's used to) behind Alt and Fisher.
