These are all evidence-free assertions. Nobody in my family went to ND nor were ND fans and I'm not from SB. I was certainly not an ND fan before coming to ND for grad school. The only ND games I watched in my entire life before coming to ND for grad school were the 2005 USC game and the 2013 NC game (first half only). You don't have to believe me; I can't "prove" this, but of course if I was this psychopathic lunatic why did I only join IE when I came here for grad school? Could the Russians be involved in this conspiracy?

My early posts here were about other sports and about politics. They were not about football.

I was certainly not anti-Kelly at all. I defended Kelly following the Clemson game, for example:

The BC game at the end of the 2015 season began to break me vis-a-vis Kelly. Other familiar posters reassured me, though, that "feelings" didn't count and that "10-1 is 10-1":

(Of course, we dropped from 4 to 6 in the CFP rankings following that win, so I guess "feelings" and "style points" do count in the eyes of people who matter.)

After the Stanford game and subsequent BVG retention, and then the predictable Texas debacle (which was principally on the defense) I moved to an anti-Kelly position. Nothing that has happened since then has changed my view.

Here's the problem. There are a lot of posters on this board who think BK should be gone, myself included. The difference is the rest of us are dealing with the fact that BK is back for another year. We have a small internal flame inside us flickering with the hope that the new staff will help BK get this thing straightened out, but unlike you, we don't feel the need to rehash, bitch and moan over and over about BK.

Except you're missing the part where bitching about Kelly as it pertains to this flip from Lenzy doesn't hold water. Lenzy didn't decommit because BK is our coach and we went 4-8. He decommitted to run track at Oregon.

Quit trolling.

To add to that on II podcast Sampson mentioned this was one recruit staff was always concerned about flipping. But he caught the staff by surprise because he didn't indicate to them that he was switching to Oregon. So I say good riddance to the kid if that's the way he handles his business.

My small internal flame went out during Kevin White's "proudest moment."

I had forgotten that Duke went 4-8, too. We lost to a 4-8 Duke team at home. You should be glad that I'm not bitching and moaning more.

I like Lenzy as a player but if a kid doesn't want to be here, I would rather the staff focus on kids that do.. Instead they wait to long and forsure guys are no longer for sure.. Lets target the next guy and hit it running

Sounds like the bitterness you feel when you break up with a girl and then she gets thin and hot while your new girl is stacking on the pounds.

If you click the link it takes you to a headline on lenzy with the words: "inside the story of his flip from ND to Oregon". Sounds like he's talking about ND.

If it's ND what the hell is he talking about?

Possibly being able to participate in track as well as football. Or maybe he was led to believe the leprechaun was a real leprechaun.

He was going to come to Notre Dame with the expectation that football and track would be treated equally?
I didn't even know ND had track.

I wonder if this is a case of “buyer’s remorse?” The team he was once committed to is now in the National Title picture and the team he swapped them for is in rebuilding mode. Who knows though? Either way it seems a little silly to bring it up now. Move on buddy, Goerdon Porter took your spot, and we are just fine with it.

I likewise call bs. If he wanted to do track more than football then his scholarship would count for football even though he would want to focus more on track. That could be a problem but IDK if that is what it is. Just spitballing.

Kid needs his ego stroked. I won't talk crap about a 17 year old kid who obviously Oregon fed him a bunch of BS while ND was like sure you can try and run track here but running track, playing football and being a student athlete here is gonna be a lot. Remember who is putting you on scholarship.

The way ND commits basically laughed at him when he decommitted and basically called him a flake told me everything I needed to know. Good luck at Oregon son

You get offered to run track in the ACC, play football for Notre Dame and get one of the best degrees in FBS football (the entire country in case that wasn’t clear), and you accuse someone of lying to you and you’re going to a rebuilding non-academic Oregon. Move on.
