In just over 24 hours the country’s No. 1 outside linebacker Dallas Gant will announce his college choice. Bill Kurelic weighs in with his Crystal Ball prediction.

Toledo (Ohio) St. John’s linebacker Dallas Gant, who has narrowed his decision down to five schools, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State, will announce his college choice on Tuesday at 3:30 pm.

At one point a number of weeks ago I didn’t get the greatest Ohio State related vibe after talking to Gant in-person. At that time, I thought Notre Dame was the likely pick. Gant is the country's No. 1 outside linebacker.

But as I have been writing since then, I have slowly had a change of thinking based on what I have been hearing from several different sources. I have been saying I think Gant picks Ohio State. After Gant told me a week ago he had made his decision and there wasn’t much that could change his mind, I felt even more confident in my thinking.

Michigan made things a bit interesting, but they arrived a bit late in this one. While there is no doubt in my mind Penn State gave Gant something to think about, and Michigan State impressed him very early, I’ve never felt he was going to end up at either place. Notre Dame had a number of things going for them, but I feel Gant sees the opportunity at Ohio State and what playing for the Buckeyes can do for him in the future as overriding factors in his decision.

I will be on hand at Gant’s announcement at his high school in the theater on Tuesday. I am going with that announcement being in favor of the Ohio State and have put in my Crystal Ball for the Buckeyes.

Gant is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 23 overall 2018 prospect, the No. 1 outside linebacker, and the No. 2 prospect in Ohio.

If he's a great salesman, and his customers don't like salesmen, the he acts like he's not a salesman when he's selling to them.

And people totally overestimate their dislike of being sold. Its like thinking that you can resist if the hot girls starts being nice to you. If you are from Ohio and Urban Meyer starts sucking up to you, you start hearing what you want to hear.

I would without doubt or hesitation take him if only for the shock value and the recruiting press that win would create... but otherwise, I'd take Lamb or Calvert.

Honestly, even IF Notre Dame somehow got the commitment tomorrow*, OSU wouldn't let up. We'd spend the next eight months hyperventilating over each development until Signing Day, when we'd inevitably be disappointed. I almost prefer ripping the band-aid.

I don't know why that is needed. I like Bogs and he was a longstanding member of the board. He doesn't deserve that, especially when he isn't here to defend himself.

That's true and all, but he has come on here multiple times claiming to have big information and it has not turned out to be accurate.
