Even if duke is getting the "hype", if he ovs, it's the Miami one that I'd be more worried about. I say go ahead and ov to duke.
Miami keeps him in state, it's a private school, richt is a good recruiter, and the program has momentum for first time in how long. I just refuse to take duke football seriously.
i thought ND was using a no-visit policy?
Another way to say it is that he, and all of these kids, have re-learned what the word "commitment" means from the NCAA.
Thanks again, NCAA, you bunch of phonies!
Yeah. I don't know why we should expect these kids to make an ironclad "commitment" when they see many (not all, not Notre Dame, but many) schools pushing out recruits, or even scholarship sophomores, when something better comes along. If Austin commits to ND, that's great. And as long as he and the coaching staff have an understanding about his taking OVs, I've got no problem with it. It's the sneaky, last-minute visits you've got to worry about.
Depends how good you are.
Tillery took visits, for example. He swore publicly it was just to support his teammates (while privately ND coaches were prepared for the worst).
Seems as though once you let one it's out the bag to enforce on others but I'll be interested in how this plays out.
Someone with only one foot in the door is always a risk, even after on campus
Sounding like Duke now. But he will still visit all schools in the fall so we'll have to let this process play out regardless of what occurs on Friday.
Why do you say this?
Smoke that it might be trending away from ND.

On Kevin Austin...
Not concerned.

So are you concerned now?
So are you concerned now?
Ya boy sinclair just went foggy. Sounds like there might be something to all this smoke around Duke.
Yep. At least in the short term. Like I said we'll see how it all plays out.
I personally think it's still ND, but that's just my opinion.
So what would be the rationale behind this decision?
- Duke closer to home?
- Cutcliffe great man and recruiter?
- Cutcliffe great offensive mind?
- Duke feels comfortable for him?
- Better weather in the South?
I mean does Duke even have a video board?

But they play on real grass like a bunch of peasants.
