Not in my book. There will obviously be positive momentum around the new coach.... unless of course you're at Tennessee.

That kind of positive momentum works on WRs and such, not on stoic OLmen. :)

And Chip Kelly might get you thinking, but I don't see Mullen as a recruiting boon.

what's the deal with this kid? most quiet 5* ever? doesn't talk, nobody seems to know anything concrete.

was sounding like it was Michigan, ND, Florida as his top 3, but Florida just went through an entire staff change and he doesn't really know Mullen or his new staff, and relationships are going to be a big deal in this one.

Mich-ND battle?

Idk, but I'm sure if he picks Michigan you'll be here to talk about it.

Ok... real talk:

How does a scUM guy stick around for 4.5 yrs?

Does that make him the worst troll of all time or the greatest?

I can't decide if his skills are so bad that he can't pizz us off enough to bounce him or... if his roll is some strange magic and we're all under his spell... like those ants that become zombies when the fungus eats their brains. Is he an internet fungus?

His posts don’t strike me as all that bad. It’s not his fault his fanbase is annoying af. It is his fault that he cheers with them. :)

Being a Michigan fan is already a cardinal sin. That in and of itself is banworthy if you ask me.

Florida, Alabama, ND, and Michigan. Probably in that order

Some don't even think Bama is in the running and Florida blew themselves up this year. I doubt he's gonna have the relationships he has with ND staff. I think it will be Michigan or ND

Simple, the scUM forum isn't on top of things and he doesn't have any idea what's happening, so he comes here to see if he can get the scoop. Then he posts on the scUM forum.

I think Alabama is more in it than others.

Distance might be a bigger factor.

It's funny....the guy only posts when either 1) UM is doing something not crappy or 2) One of UM rivals is doing something crappy

Considering how good MSU has been (sans last year) over that time, how OSU typically rolls and how disappointing Milk Boy has been, his actual amount of time spent on the board has been minimal.

Harbaugh up to his old tricks again.

If this kid wants to Pick Michigan over us then he clearly isn't that bright, where is Michigans track record of OL draft picks?

IMO, it bodes very well for ND that the kid doesn't like hype. There is nothing about him that suggests this is a typical Florida-Alabama "look at me everyone" battle.

ND typically does very well with the quiet, analytical types, because the numbers don't lie:

- Notre Dame is a very exclusive $240,000 education; Florida and Alabama are just fine state schools (nothing wrong with a Toyota, but its not a Mercedes);
- Notre Dame opens doors nationwide, including in his home state of Florida;
- Notre Dame has absolutely no issues getting offensive linemen to the NFL--they seem to be trained for the fundamentals of the NFL game, and HH gets as much respect as anyone on draft night;
- Notre Dame is a quieter, 8,000 student experience, which is not as fun if you are looking for trouble, but more fun if you aren't

Most importantly:

- Notre Dame is cold from December through March. You will weigh 310 pounds. You will sweat all day every day in Alabama or Florida.

this is kind of what I heard. Although you can never count Bama out of any race for any recruit.

I've heard it's a ND-Mich battle. Mullen will get his crack to win him over though. If Florida wasn't such a mess he'd have already committed there by now IMO.

just learning tricks from Saban.

I remember when Saban did this and had Bama's bowl practice at Dr. Phillips HS in Orlando area and Alabama paid for all kinds of improvements that were "necessary" for his team to be able to practice there. Alabama preceded to land a pair of 5* prospects that class who just happened to attend Dr. Phillips HS.

If it's not against the rules, then why not? Smart move if you ask me. Smart as hell.

The real reason Harbaugh is doing this is he wants to have a sleepover.
