Notre Dame, USC and UCLA were his top three “as of right now.”
Four-star LB Solomon Tuliaupupu names program favorites | Fanbuzz

This Rivals article gives me a little more hope that this isn't a done deal for USC. Almost sounds like he wants to spread his wings.

When asked if all the talk about him going to USC is just rumors, Tuliaupupu responded with an emphatic “yeah.”

That’s because, according to him, he’s struggling with the idea of leaving Southern California all together.

“I don’t know if I want to leave or want to stay,” Tuliaupupu said. “It’s just indecision.”

When asked why he’s struggling with that choice, Tuliaupupu pointed to one specific factor.

“My family and that’s the same, my family,” Tuliaupupu said. “Because I might just want to grow alone for a little bit and maybe I won’t, maybe I’ll stay with my family and grow with them.”

Freeman at ISD makes it sound like it’s all SC. He’s also saying Stepp is in his ear all day about going to SC.

I don’t think he’s saying anything any different than anyone else: USC is presumed to lead, but te other two schools are still in it.

See this is jacked up. You have a guy who cant pass admissions because he is either too friggin dumb or too lazy to work at it once he is given the opportunity and knows what he has to do. Then he "decommits" as if he had a choice then goes to a rival and negs the school. All along the school says nothing and lets people believe the player chose the other school over the first school like a second choice prom date.

Funny when these guys sign and the comment is that he chose X school over ND, as if he had a choice or something.

Is someone actually reporting he's negging ND? Is what he saying untrue?

Again, people are just making stuff up. freeman didn’t report he was going negative on anyone. Step is just super outgoing and buddies up to everyone like he did when he was committed to ND.

Yup...he did a lot of "rah rah" for us while he was committed.

Personally, I'd rather do the right thing and regret it, than do the wrong thing and feel good about myself.

Sadly, in the modern era of college football. Doing the wrong thing is rewarded with instant gratification, admin glad-handing and officials all over turning a blind eye; while doing the right thing is met with a long, harsh path uphill and oftentimes even punished wrongly as to be made an example of.

College athletics in general have turned into reverse karma up the ass.

As for Stepp, I doubt he was negative recruiting ND and even if he was, I can't imagine it would hold much weight. Kind of hard to take his word against ND or even for USC, given we were his primary choice and he was VERY vocal about how great the program is only just a month ago.

from what i have been told...slight edge currently to usc but ND right there

I know one guy that thinks ND is currently in better position to get the commitment than USC. He's not a recruiting guy or a beat reporter, but he's heard something that makes him think ND is in the driver's seat... but he won't say what it is.

I think everyone who believes ND can pull it out is suffering from JuJu Smith Schuster Syndrome, but I'm just a random dude on the internet, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Get all the LDS players in the last decade talking about how ND helped grow and facilitate their bond in their faith.
