Passed away today from natural causes

He had a 50 year battle with the after effects of Bednarik's Syndrome impacted by a dose of Kathie Lee.

He was one of my idols growing up as a Giant's fan. I even had an autograph. Nice guy, even for a Trojan.

Bednarik/Gifford was a staple film clip for "head on a swivel" ...Frank got ROCKED.

Its been few years since I've seen it...but it was a slobberknocker in any era.

Frank seemed like a good guy, best you can tell from the outside I suppose....and yea I suppose part of that calculus is who his life mate was...Rest in Peace.

For you younger pups, Frank was equally as good on MNF as he was a player. The MNF threesome of Cossel, Gifford and Dandy Don has never been matched.

Kathy was a bitch, but easy on the eyes.

Let me encourage you, if you like good books, to track down a copy of "A Fan's Notes" by Frederick Exley. It's a "fictional memoir", but a novel, about a troubled man's idol worship of Gifford. Really a first rate book, published in 1968.
