"I can fix this and I can fix this early. They need me."
You guys get it.
Make no mistake, Mr. Jeter is at ND to play football first and foremost. It is evident from his interviews. I find nothing wrong if the plan is to have an All-Pro NFL career with an ND degree as insurance. Not many people accidentally have great NFL careers, it takes laser focus but a lot of guys with laser focus made the mistake of not having that additional point of focus in the classroom when the other didn't work out.
Interesting you bring this up...
His brother Sheldon was 6-5 and change his senior year in high school. He is now 6-8, 230. I'd say Donovan was on the short side of 6-4 in the picture I posted above. He could hit a spurt like his brother and end up 6-6+. With his basketball footwork, he might be a candidate to move to the otherside. Same thing with Darnell Ewell. ND recruited him at DT obviously but he made the Opening Regional Top 5 for his play at OG. Kelly's known for moving guys, Joe Staley might be in Canton someday because Kelly doesn't use the TE in his offense...
I think he committed to the situation. Need and the WPa movement.
Guys who play early on Saturday, play yearly on Sunday. That's how I end every note to the guys I'm recruiting. Seriously, this is like selling Camry's for $99/mo with $0 down.
How do you mean?
