This kid seems like he was designed in a lab to one day become an Ohio State QB. His level of Tate Martell-ness is a perfect fit for Ohio State and its fans.

You want to watch a 30 for 30 about some guys nuts? That's weird.

You come trolling around a ND site for 2 reasons:
1) good news for michigan
2) to show us how confused you are when michigan pushes a recruit out of the class

Don't talk to me about weird.

Speaking of nut dragging.

And for real, Harbaugh had FORTY THREE seniors and couldn't beat Urban this year. In a year where Urban graduated EVERYONE. You realize it'll never happen?

I'd call Urban your daddy, but he's really your Grand Daddy.

So per Loy Martell thought about/almost flipped to UCLA. With Hawkins and Emory Jones I bet this kid lasts one year at OSU. Not to many HS kids have pissed me off I've never met but he has such a punchable face. I don't wish anything bad on someone I've never met or don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if he never played in a meaningful snap in college football

Anyone else watch the first episode of QB1?

I just finished it and was about to ask the same question. What were your thoughts on it? Specifically about Martell, I'm glad we didn't end up with him. That being said, I think Urban can handle his ego well and make the most of it. He seems to do that pretty well throughout his career a a head coach. But that's something that makes him so good.

But the guy is a punk. Totally stuck up. The scene where the team is taking the picture and you can obviously tell he is standing on his tip toes, or just the simple fact that he wouldn't turn around and smile to his mom. All should be warning signs.

Out of all the QB's, Fromm was obviously my favorite and I would easily play hard for that guy.

IDK if the series deserves it's own thread, but I'd enjoy discussing more about the finer details of the show for sure.

A Michigan fan writing a pointless article? You don't say.

Pretty sure Tom and Scott Bell are one.

somebody made a good point on twitter there, if Fields fails to get his waiver and then Martell legs it then OSU is gonna need MOARR QB transfers to fill out their roster. Brandon Wimbush anyone?

Transfers becoming college footballs version of free agency. If you need something, just go take it from someone else.

While this would put them in quite the pickle and highly doubt it happens.

Not sure how on-board tOSU fans would be with that, honestly... they'd view him as a less accurate JT Barrett, I'd imagine.

Are you saying in reference to the schools or the player?

TBF, nobody is forcing him to transfer. I agree that between relaxed hardship waivers and grad transfers, there is a free agency vibe. What makes it worse is that coaches/schools are expecting it, so they can/do recruit over players and not feel bad because #transfers. It's all circular.

FWIW, if transfers become super commonplace Notre Dame is going to be screwed. We have very little ability to take a transfer student from most schools as they won't have the credits even if they have decent grades. It will benefit the football factories immensely as good players from small programs transfer to play "big time" football.

Honestly it was more of a tongue and cheek response than anything. But, in reality, both. It just seems pretty obvious that this is the start of something much bigger. OSU needs a dynamic QB. OSU searches collegiate ranks for said QB that isn't currently playing. Said QB is granted waiver and now OSU has said QB to start season.
