So he's apparently there until Friday. I guess I'm not surprised he would say he's Ohio St. all the way while still being on campus.

I know there are exceptions, but IMO, kids that commit before ever stepping on a campus already have their mind made up. Regardless of how many other visits they take, they aren't flipping.

Or they just think that they have their mind made up.

Urban Meyer is a closet alcoholic, makes an ass out of himself at a major function, has a major lockerroom breakdown and shows up gameday drunk. It could happen.

More likely to step away from football for health reasons after he and a handful of starters gets arrested for their annual cocaine and prostitutes party. Then later we found out he was the getaway driver for Aaron Hernandez. But then somehow he and ESPN would twist all that into a good recruiting pitch for recruits... because recruits love them some cocaine and prostitutes, and being a getaway driver shows he cares about his kids. So with all that said, NSD is a long ways away but I see this one sticking.

according to at least 1 source, this is going to be a long race but ND isn't calling it quits...they stated this will end up like KK and Hayes recruitment...this source feels we impressed the family enough to likely get an official....ND plans to hang around and make a move late in the game----rivals

I like the sound of this.

You know, I've never seen Urban Meyer and Steve Sarkisian in the same room at the same time.

I don't. Sounds like 8 months of heartburn with a finale of "he was never coming here."

much better than having him commit to ND only to spurn us at the alter .....i would rather have the chance to flip late than try holding onto a 5* early and taking visits...Ronald Darby visions...THAT was crushing

Why do people think we have a shot? OSU was his childhood favorite and he committed there? JW.

OSU was not his childhood favorite. Where does it say that? I think ND still has a chance with this kid and can only look at the Daelin Hayes recruitment as proof. Alize Jones and Nicco Fertitta will be in his ear too.

I remember him being pumped about the ND offer, then committing to OSU and it coming out that OSU was his childhood favorite and people being surprised because of all the ND hype.

Unlesss I'm thinking of a different recruit but I do not think I am.

Yes Rocket, he was quoted as saying OSU was his favorite team growing up.

Here:

Here's a Scout article by Brandon Huffman from the middle of December. It was in writing for the word to see. I just thought the "was" was more telling.
"My dream school was Ohio State and I've been hearing from them more," said Garrett. "Oregon, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Florida State and Auburn have all been talking with me more about playing 3-tech for them."

If he visits ND again it would be a surprise to those inside the Gug. per 247

He seems set on OSU and good for him for wanting to attend his dream school
