I wouldn't redshirt him if he's good on special teams! We need gamers to keep some of our more experienced guys fresh.

I would only redshirt a potential impact player if they are a QB or lineman.

Red-shirt? Rotational WR? Or just special teams?

What are the verdicts on here?

Probably a wait and see approach. Injuries of players ahead of him could cause him to play. I can't remember if the NCAA has voted yet on the new redshirt proposal which would allow FR. to play 4 games and still maintain a RS year.

While I doubt he would win the PR or KR positions this year, he may be good Jammer/Gunner straight out of the box.

As we all saw on his film, dude can block. He has a mean streak too for a guy with a slot/CB build...

Hey, did I just say CB?

Called it first in case it happens!

The future is looking bright for both Young and Armstrong. Congrats to Michael

Does the bowl game count for 2018-19 season and we could see some players that red-shirted?

there's some talk about allowing amending things to allow redshirted players to play in bowl games but no rule changes implemented as of yet.

If ever more players continue to sit out their bowl games so they don't get hurt before the draft, it only seems fair to let redshirts play. It's like next season, already!

Any idea if implemented that it would be retroactive. Would love to see some of the young guns get some burn, but not at the expense of an entire year of eligibility.

I'd burn the year of eligibility if he's truly needed in the bowl game If he's that good, he more than likely won't be here after 4 years anyway ... whether he's a true senior OR a redshirt senior at that point.
