Fields has stepped it up big time lately and he's reaped the benefits.
Kmet is playing well lately. Looks like a man on a mission the last few weeks! Can't wait until the Bears get Fields a real Oline than can pass protect and a true WR1

Nah, this cant be true. I heard he was in Wyoming with Jeffree Star. No way he had time to do that and finish his degree...

The university has been open since 1842. Not like it's going anywhere.

If you want to finish a degree bad enough, you can do it. During or after your professional sports career.

It’s what makes ND great and ND football not great…. He’s a pretty darn good te in the nfl yet at nd he had 60 receptions in his entire career. But he’s front page for getting his degree later on after leaving early when he probably shouldn’t have.
What point are you making here exactly?

Maybe I had too much fun at trivia night tonight, but if your point is simply he shouldn't have left early... Kmet had a good year and took his opportunity to be THE FIRST TIGHT END TAKEN IN THE DRAFT.

If your point is that he wasn't prioritized or used well enough at ND...he PLAYED along side Alize Mack (drafted), Durham Smythe (drafted), Brock Wright (in the NFL), and was out for part of his junior year with a broken collarbone. Considering all of that, in what world is 60 receptions a bad or underutilized career? Sounds like he was just in really good company.

The year he gets featured he takes his opportunity to capitalize it in the draft...and he came back for the degree. This is a win-win and yet you are trying to find a way for it to be a bad thing.

I didn't even realize Kmet ended up being the Bears best receiver by a wide margin. He almost had the most TDs on the team too, the only person that had more was Fields himself who had one more.

My point was you could see how good he was but he didn’t really accomplish much on the field at nd other than maybe at Georgia…but that degree he came back for!!!!!

I think I’m just chapped we just can’t get the pieces to line up for a true championship caliber team… right now it feels like this year may be our best chance over the next and last few.

Mr. Putuporshutup, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Again, really, no need to put anything else in your post besides what I highlighted. Been the tone of every single post, in every single thread, that you have made.

Just shows that you only see what you want to see, and that's people's posts you disagree with or feel are not positive regarding something involving ND football. That's not a fun way to live or see the world.

I'm as high on Hartman as anyone here, including a good chunk of our Oline, RBs, I see potential albeit very inexperienced with our WRs, CBs shoudl be awesome, getting carter to pair with watts potentially at safety is awesome. But i guess you quickly skip over those posts in those threads.

It honestly has nothing to do with anyone "blindly" seeing a post as positive or negative. It's the fact that, for Cole Kmet, everything that transpired has been nothing but GOOD. He came to ND, played great football, and capitlized on an opportunity to make life changing money playing the sport of football.

On top of that, he went above and beyond and got his degree from ND, even though he is likely set for life without it.

How you or anyone else can spin anything from that tweet into a negative is absolutely insane. It must be a miserable existence you live in. There is nothing to do here except congratulate the young man for an amazing accomplishment, yet here you are, and nobody is shocked.

Did I not say "It's what makes ND great"? You're spinning it to be negative on him or the school. We're not great at football, that's an opinion that's easy to back up. It's great for him that he's getting his degree and it differentiates us vs many of the top schools because their players far less often come back to get their degree after leaving early. The difference is they're competing for championships, we're still trying to figure it out.

I firmly believe you can have both academics and a championship, but we've lacked the leader at the top that is an amazing coach and recruiter for awhile. Freeman has shown his relentlessness recruiting, but he also struggled last year coaching. I sure hope he becomes the one to take us over the hurdle and becomes a great coach. We're on to our 5th coach ( i think that's right) since our last coach capable of winning a championship.

Right, shame on Marcus Freeman for not winning the natty in his first year with Drew Pyne at QB.

Saban surely would've gotten the job done in South Bend last year....

The fact of the matter is that you took what should be seen as nothing but a positive accomplishment and still found a way to put your patented PutuporShutup negative drivel all over it. It's a weird situation to pick a battle.

Man, you are just continuing to behave like a jerk here in this thread.
Do yourself and all of us a favor and shut up. Cole's graduation was a simple moment for celebrating him.
Shut up. It's not about you.

Of course the last picture you post reinforces how you are viewed, and that is apparently what you want.
Time for the ignore button.
Again: thanks Mods.

Not about football i guess either because that's what my post was about. Not me, not anyone else.

You're not good at this "spin people's word to fit your narrative" bit.
