You've been on this board long enough to know the masses follow the lead on any unfavorable opinions. In some cases, not all, blind leading the blind.
If you say so. Sometimes the majority comes to their conclusions with good reason. I'll leave it at that.

I need a TE in my keeper league and it looks like Kmet will be available. Keeping those fingers crossed.

I’m in a dynasty league. I have Kmet, Tremble and I’m hoping to grab Mayer too. Lol
It’s an IDP dynasty league. We keep 11. I have Waller but need to plan for the future. Going to try and pull off the Kmet/Mayer combo.

Did I not say "It's what makes ND great"? You're spinning it to be negative on him or the school. We're not great at football, that's an opinion that's easy to back up. It's great for him that he's getting his degree and it differentiates us vs many of the top schools because their players far less often come back to get their degree after leaving early. The difference is they're competing for championships, we're still trying to figure it out.

I firmly believe you can have both academics and a championship, but we've lacked the leader at the top that is an amazing coach and recruiter for awhile. Freeman has shown his relentlessness recruiting, but he also struggled last year coaching. I sure hope he becomes the one to take us over the hurdle and becomes a great coach. We're on to our 5th coach ( i think that's right) since our last coach capable of winning a championship.
We, as fans, want a national championship because it’s exciting and something to brag about, but the athletes who make it happen have bigger lives than the sport. You could also say the difference in the rat race is that a vast majority of programs competing for national championships are doing the bare-shit minimum to set up all their athletes with more opportunities beyond football. Why? Because the actual school part is mostly a front. ND has its problems, but the exploitative nature of collegiate football is some sad shit that everyone should be embarrassed about societally, but aren’t really, because football is the only shit some fans care about. Part of the reason we have the privilege of maintaining a modicum of respect for academic accomplishment is because the titles we won in the past built up our reputation which was lucrative and enabled the school to flourish. This model could be upheld everywhere if it were a universal standard, which could serve to raise the bar for not only universities and colleges, but also high schools, even middle schools to foster standards that encourage athletes to develop other aspects of their personhood. But instead we deify trophies that are soulless in an arena that is supposed to cultivate something more than just NFL skill. Where does the blame for lack of balance fall? Depends on perspective.

Dude got a degree from The University of Notre Dame. Makes millions of dollars playing football in the NFL. And here you are telling us about winners mentality.

I truly feel bad for you. It must be difficult being so awesome yet no one sees it.

Someone at ND needs to start having one. Scheduling a 730pm game in Dublin Ireland. Yeah, that's not ideal and smart for the players/coaches. A program focused on winning wouldn't have done that.

It’s what makes ND great and ND football not great…. He’s a pretty darn good te in the nfl yet at nd he had 60 receptions in his entire career. But he’s front page for getting his degree later on after leaving early when he probably shouldn’t have.
That's your takeaway from this? Some ppl are just horrible humans. You need to reevaluate your priorities.
