Anyone know how he is doing? I don't recall seeing him reenter the game after he went down.

I guess he was on crutches after the game and I read it was feared it was a significant foot injury.

That sucks. Guess he’ll be eligible for a fifth year, at least.

Per BK's teleconference yesterday, MTA is on schedule to return and condition for the SC game. That would only be his second game of the year, which means that this counts as his redshirt, no?

If he plays 4 games or less it's a redshirt.

Yes. Could play vs SC, the Semi & be the MVP of the NC and still redshirt.

My guess is that's NOT what the NCAA rules committee had in mind when they made the change.

They also probably didn’t intend a rush of transfers in Week Four, but thems the breaks.

Either way, he’ll be good to have back. Our interior line has held up but more depth is never a bad thing.

BK said they are doing an MRI as a follow up to make sure they’re right and there is no major damage. Doesn’t sound serious. Also, Jayson A should be back for Stanford.

Do we know if Howard Cross went in after MTA went out? I'd hate to have to burn his redshirt but we're low on healthy bodies at DT at this point.

And Lacey was the main sub at 3T. Had the most snaps amongst DL for the game. And now Jayson A should be ready for Stanford if MTA needs more time.

He did not. Hunter Spears did.

Yeah they are holding Cross out for the remainder of the year to preserve the red shirt. i'm going to assume the starters at DT are going to be Hinish and Jayson A; backed up by Franklin and Lacy

Really surprised I didn't see him in the backfield as much... But with this kind of lateral speed (Kurt can't move like that) - looks like those two have very different assignments.

Te'o and Toma, with Brian Polian, started something that still pays dividends.

Hawaiian rankings:
2022: Tafiti 1st
2021: Kia 5th (TMA 3rd, too bad)
2020: Botelho 1st
2019: Liufau 6th
2017: MTA 3rd (Polian returns)
2016: Gilman NR
2010: Schwenke 3rd (Polian leaves)
2009: Te'o 1st, Toma NR
