Bet he ends up comitting to
ohio state before visiting us

I'll throw a CB at him. I remember an article that was very pro ND when he was a sophomore I think.

Has been tearing up the camp circuits... Got Open, Rivals MVP. Add to that a lot of Western Pa action going on right now. He projects as good swing candidate although he is a guy who might be a starter down the road at tackle even though he's not the typical elite height ND has been landing.

Plus he's only gonna get better this season working at LT at the daily All American Camp & Combine that is IMG.

JMercy & I doing our thing back in 2016.

Has played the best of all the OL for Notre Dame so far this year?

I think he has been the most consistent and the best of the group through the first 5 games.

Giving the big boys some love.

I keep confusing him and Kraemer now that they look exactly the same.

Yeah. One plays tackle and the other guard, but they look exactly the same and hard to tell the difference between them.

Whether he moves to center next week or not, any hope for using his free 5th year wasn’t in the plans for the two time captain. With Patterson coming off a serious foot injury (Lisfranc fractures are similar to Achilles injuries vs ACLs...longer recovery), be nice to get Banks back.

I think he'll stick around the NFL for a while. Technically sound, high character guys stick around longer than their measureables might indicate, especially with NFL teams chronically short of OL depth.

Honestly he could probably play every position except for LT in the league. I could totally see him going day 2. Well if I was a GM that's where I would draft him at least...

Yep. One of my guys. Some on here say that he won't even be drafted.

I don't doubt it but this is wild to me. Goes to show how much the draft privileges measurement and upside at the expense of performance, especially the consistent performance that we saw from Mr. Hainsey for 4 years. I would take him on the Vikes in a heartbeat (maybe over a couple guys that are currently starting).

I know his arm length was scrutinized Day 1. OG probably is best for him Draft wise and therefore first contract wise. Center might be what some teams think which could cause some slippage

I really want Pittsburgh to draft him as a Pouncey replacement. He's got the smarts, technique, and leadership to fill the role maybe even day 1.

We had posters post Banks and Eichenberg high, and Kraemer "4th" or so, and leave Hainsey out. I thought that they were crazy, on the Hainsey part.

From NFL Network;

“Robert Hainsey, OL, Notre Dame. Hainsey was one of the most consistent prospects this week. He played with good hands and a firm base, taking snaps at guard and tackle. The team that picks him will be getting a very polished player. It didn't go unnoticed that the Notre Dame guys worked after practice every single day, and I was told Hainsey's interviews with teams were outstanding.“

Joel Bitonio Award: Robert Hainsey, Notre Dame

Offensive tackle who'll be a Pro Bowl guard in the NFL

Edwards: I could take the low-hanging fruit of USC's Alijah Vera-Tucker, who played left tackle this season for the Trojans after playing inside a year prior. I could also go with Northwestern's Rashawn Slater, who would undoubtedly be successful as an interior player. He has no business moving from guard, however. I considered Alabama's Alex Leatherwood but I'm going to go with Notre Dame's Robert Hainsey. He has good size for the position and comes from a program known for producing high level professional talent. As a deep sleeper, I'll throw Wisconsin's Cole Van Lanen out there as well.
